100%, Reminds me I need to order some basing material from yall in the next few weeks.. I ran out of money before I hit your table thanks to the bring and buy lol. But iv been using the AK interactive muddy ground dark mud one of my mates got me from your online store last summer, on all my Fantasy models for our Warhammer 7th batreps and I have finally run out lol.

Oh, man. When you panned through Phoenix Game's booth, that Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game Battle of Pelennor box would've been a good buy since it's out of print now. Great vid.

Well in this instance it was just a custom scenario I wrote up, but I think il exit it a bit for the next time I try and demo flames yea.

Great Question! I think it kinda depends. Some games can be super cheap to get into, like Star Wars X-Wing, you only need a starter and maybe 1-2 ships to play a full game. But is one of those kinds of games that require near constant purchases to keep on top of releases and new content. Some other games can be cheap because you only need the rules and then can buy any form of miniatures, a great example of this is the game Saga, as its a rulebook, a setting book, and then an army of anywhere between 13-40ish models that can be from any manufacture (plus it has a cool dice mechanic to represent the sagas, has a Viking era book, a crusades era book and a few others) but yea, its not an easy question to answer as it is such a situational question. But my fav suggestion would absolutely be Saga, and one day we will play the Viking age of it on the channel lol.

Looks like you had a great time. For next year print up a lot of business cards with details of your channel and the various ways they can donate to it. I love the idea of aerial tabletop wargames. Very fast paced, manoeuvring etc. But every game I've tried is the exact opposite. Slow dull and boring. 😢

Hey James! I did have a few business cards left over from last year but had not been able to get new ones printed for this year. Next year we absolutely will have cards with all our social media info on it! The donations are helpful to us making more content, but not our main focus so prob would leave those off of the cards. Definitely understand what you mean about the games themselves, the closest I have ever come was the early days of X-wing 1.0 with a couple Tie Interceptors fighting my buddies A-wings and X-wings.

@@LackofForesightGaming That's great you had business cards with you. Some people may not necessarily follow your channel but would be happy to support you financially so you turn up next year so they can have the same fun again. I liked your scenario for convention play. A random meeting engagement may also work. A new player joining the game part way through would have a force or unit that is points wise matching what is on the table. First time players could be say 20% larger to compensate for learning mistakes. I can't remember the name of the game and technically not a tabletop game. Each player gets a book the main picture is what you see and along the bottom you can choose a valid manoeuvre. Each list a page to turn to. It had 4 visual ranges and 3 ranges for firing. It only had WW1 fighters but it was very fast and exciting. I truly think it was great of you to reach out to the community attending the convention so they can experience Battlefront's 2 great games. Good on you.

And thats fair, I mean I do have patreon, and the channel membership stuff, but It still feels weird to suggest that so I tend not to advertise it lol. I like the idea you propose about the drop in option and the slightly larger force for new players, also I am glad to hear you liked our scenario we came up with : ) That does sound like an interesting game, if you do recall the name of it please let me know : ) And thank you! We love the BF system as its a great mix of history and easy arcade style gameplay! Looking forward to bringing it back next year!
