Grave Cafe - A bit of an interesting cafe in Rio de Janeiro, more of an art space and underground music venue. Not fully my style, but coffee was very good.
Double espresso - 9 BRL ($2.40)
Galeto Sat's - This was the highlight for me. I didn’t know if I was going to have time to eat here during my trip to Rio de Janeiro, but on my final day, we did, and I’m glad. The chicken hearts and garlic bread were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. And the spring chicken with the sauce was outstanding.
Total price - 108 BRL ($28.79)
Restaurante Cervantes - Sandwiches were ok, the beef was the best, so juicy.
Total price - 78 BRL ($20.80)

Mark shows us both an elite hotel room as well as a rundown apartment. This guy totally rocks the balance .
Your videos are just wonderful! Thanks for showing my city in a good way. Sometimes is hard to us, cariocas, to see the beatiful side of Rio. Our city has a lot of problems, but for sure is the wonderful city.

This hotel room is huge! Botafogo is a really cozy neighborhood, isn't? You just ate the 2 best thing from a brazilian barbecue: Chicken heart and garlic bread... I love my city ❤️

The word "grave" has a different meaning in portuguese, it refers to the lower frequencies of sound, the bass.

This is one meaning. It has several meanings in portuguese. And most of the meanings the english word 'grave' has the portuguese word 'grave' has as well (but, noticeably, it can't refer to a burial place in portuguese). Furthermore, 'grave' can also mean "low-pitched in sound" in english.

In that sense, Grave would be the present-imperative conjugation of the verb "gravar". Which would be better translated to english as "to engrave". Notice that engrave in english also has the word "grave", because the english word actually is a cognate... different meanings having different origins (latin, through french, and old germanic, through old english).

My city! I like to have lunch at the top floor of Botafogo Shopping Mall (close to your hotel) just to look at Sugar Loaf. I've been to Botafogo today. It's an area also famous for various ophthalmologist clinics and glasses stores.

A smile is good The one place I wanna visit and I can't work My dad screams at me that I'm useless and its pointless to learn a new language And, knowing I want to go to Brazil, says I'm too useless to make enough to go there. Nada. As caretas mais legais são as que ele faz quando come comida tailandesa. Não é à toa que ele escolheu morar em Bangkok. Ele ama a culinária de lá (o fato de a mulher dele ser de lá também ajuda).

@@31rafa, Pelo que ele disse em outro vídeo, nasceu nos EUA, morou na França e na África (em dois países; nao lembro quais) durante a infância e adolescência e voltou pros EUA pra fazer faculdade. Mochilou durante um tempo depois da faculdade, mas acabou se aquietando na Tailândia. Mora lá, mas continua mochilando e ganhando a vida com isso :)
