"HOTEL HELL" - Dumbbell CrossFit WOD (
This "Hotel Hell" WOD lives up to it's name. Credit to Jason Khalipa and Chris Spealler for popularizing it. See their original video: wodwell.com/wod/hotel-hell/?r...

While on the road we had access to a hotel gym with a dumbbell rack, some treadmills, and some strength machines. We looked up "Dumbbell WODs on WODwell (wodwell.com/wods/equipment/du...) - one of the most popular ones from 2013 is called "HOTEL HELL."
"HOTEL HELL"
For Time
100 Dumbbell Hang Clean Thrusters (Clusters) (2x35/25 lb)
5 Burpees to start, and at the top of each minute
Start with 5 burpees. Then complete as many hang squat clean thrusters (aka: “hang clusters”) as possible until the minute is up. Repeat until 100 total are completed. If athlete does not finish score is number of rounds and reps completed.
We picked a target time of 14 minutes and calculated that we'd have to do 7 clusters per round, plus two 8-rep rounds to get sub-14. It ended up taking us 40-45 seconds per round, leaving 15-20 seconds of rest each round. Around half way through (50 clusters) it started getting pretty spicy! Following the same rep scheme and staying in-sync the whole time, we finished in 13:44 (Lisa) and 13:46 (Jeremy).
Lisa and Jeremy are 36 and 42-year-old "masters" athletes (115 lb and 205 lb) who have been CrossFitting since 2011 and 2013, and work out mostly in their home garage these days. Together they are co-creators of WODwell and wodwell.com

Who’s here because of No Face 11? 😂😂
Wtf are those Burpees ????
I tried this today. In 3 mins my breath skyrocketed. I stopped it in 3 mins, my breath got heavy . I got afraid and stopped. Due to my smoking habit I lasted only 3 mins. I will quit smoking now and will perform full workout slowly.
Is that a burpee?
Both using bad form
You don't need to start with Burpees. In the original video he did not start with burpees. It was explained as "You need to do 100 Clean Hang thrusters and then every minute that PASSES, do 5 burpees" the key word is, a minute passed since starting. You can also clearly see Jason starting with the Hangs, but then Chris writes start with Burpees. So it's kinda bad, because 12 years ago it was not written up on fancy websites, we just had that video to go by. People are doing two different versions of this Wod.
Those burpees though 😂😂😂
One of the nastiest workouts I've ever done
i’m out of breath just watching this video
10min36 10months after!
I'm getting shredded just watching this video.
one of the best crossfit workout you can do at home. it hits almost all body parts. very good cardio. if you don't have time to workout then you can do this crossfit workout. this is my FAVORITE EXERCISE. it can really be HELL for beginners and first timers. the first time i did this workout my whole body became sore for 3 days but it was worth it. i still do this workout 1-2x a wk, i just added abs workout during active rest. i highly recommend this WOD for everybody. for beginners try to lower the reps and shorten the time to 5-7 min. just do mini hotel hell until you are able to follow along till the end of the session.
EXCELENT ROUTINE,CONGRATULATIONS,GUYS!
