As a music teacher, I'm very impressed with Tico's aural skills. He seems to be able to recognise the chord or chord progression, and he's trying to harmonize with the chord. His intonation is pretty spot on! Well done!

What is so endearing about Tico’s singing is that it’s not sterile, rote learned. He is so spontaneous and reacts as the mood takes him. The natural way he behaves is so joyous and wonderful to see and hear.

Tico gets the glory but let’s not diminish Franks playing. He’s awesome 👏

It’s not just Tico singing - which is adorable - but it is also watching how much Frank enjoys sharing music with Tico. A great partnership 👏🏼

Tico singing perfectly in tune! With pretty vibrato parts! And his mood seems to be in synch with the spooky lyrics, as if he knew them! When he crouches low, twice, it is as if he senses the trap that is the Hotel California. Great job, guys!

Unfortunately, Tico isn’t a member of the local musicians union, got carded, and now has to sing only in the bathroom. Sad.

What is so addictive about a parrot singing and a guitarist? Love it.

You’re right, Frank. Tico does love this song and, I believe, he loves the 12 string as much as we do! There’s something about the 12 string which is sweeter somehow and Tico FEELS that. The way he is somehow more involved (it’s very difficult to explain but I see and hear it from him). Beautiful rendition of a true classic. More please 👍🏻❤️

I just love when he sings a note that's not in the chord, but harmonizes with it and makes the song's harmony more interesting! Or, in less geeking-out terms: aww, Baby Bird! Keep up the good work 💗

I do believe a Don Henley would be very impressed. Tico lacks the Gravelly voice but he totally gets the spirit of this song

Tico never fails to bring a smile to my face. I never thought that I would be subscribed to a bird (nor indeed a lobster - see Leon the lobster) but Tico is no ordinary bird, he's a front man with modesty who hits all the right notes and he can ad-lib effortlessly. It's clear that he's highly intelligent, stays away from performance ruining drugs and has recruited his band diligently over the years, cherry picking only those that play to his strengths.

I think Tico was listening acutely as much as singing this time. He was definitely connecting to the tune! A great song. Hope their might be a repeat. Carry on Tico and Man!

Magnificent Tico is so talented and happy he is such an incredible bird we just love him TY Frank and Gina for sharing him with us and the world
