I would love to buy a CD of his singing. As I said, better than a lot of ‘ sound of nature” singer making noise by ‘imitating ‘ the nature or using funny tribal instruments like dental floss. If Florence Jenkins’ records can sell, I believe Tico’s CDs will be a hit.

My son has his cockatiel since “Baby” was a hatchling. She is 25 and is a blessing to his life! Such a sweet and gentle bird. Only a bird lover will understand the pain of losing our precious little feather friends. Praying for you! ❤🙏

I remember when builders, tradesmen etc. would have to be able to whistle like this before they would be given their 'ticket' (I'm in the British Isles). Unfortunately, it seems like the requirement was done away with in the late '70's or early '80's...

Anyone living in Britain, listen to the male Blackbirds in the springtime. Really listen. I guarantee you will not hear the same melody twice, if you listen for half an hour straight. The young males are a bit rusty and limited in the first weeks of the season, but they learn and develop their individual songs throughout their lives. Male Blackbirds stake out a territory and sing rival songs at each other. They respectfully wait for the other to finish, before replying. So the rivalry helps them develop their own songs, to stay "top dog" in the neighbourhood. Forget the Song Thrush, the Nightingale, Blackbirds are the best singers.
