Hot Water Boiler Pressure Valve keeps Popping..How to bleed and fill quickly! p1of 3

This idea of a quick fill won't work for radiator systems... unfortunately radiator systems will need to be individually bled from the upper floors.. this fill/air purge is for baseboard or water coil type forced air systems.

Hi, I live in Philadelphia, PA. I am just learning the basics. There was a Boiler in one of our personal homes and my plumber stated to purchase a shark bite to install near the expansion tank to temporarily stop water flow to the tank. I did do this and then "dropped" most all water from the tank. System was purged/filled as necessary. The gas company inspected the unit when a new tenant tenant moved in and tagged the valve asking for NO stoppage of water/steam. He then told me to keep the handle in on position and just remove the lever !!! Thanks for the vids !!!

It can be confusing when you have different professionals give you different advice..., for clarity having the valve for the expansion tank only makes it easier to drain the tank periodically of water replacing its air charge, if there was no valve you would need to drain and refill the entire system to clear the tank. So yes, if there is a valve going to the expansion tank, ALWAYS leave it open. Thx for watching.
