I don't have the other version of Jack Sparrow, so it's a no-brainer for me to get this. I'm either getting the DX or standard. This could be the final time we get this character again, as Disney is making a reboot and Johnny Depp isn't on the same page as them? And I agree, it's high time we had 2.0 - 3.0s of Aliens, Predator and Terminator.

The only issue I have with the smiling head is that it looks like Johnny when he is breaking character. The bloopers smile or when he is doing the charity stuff. It's great; it looks just like him, but it just reminds me a bit too much of Johnny, not Jack.

Since I am a new collector I didn’t think I would be able to get this. Funny my wife who is skeptical about my Hot Toys hobby told me to buy it since she was a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

For a new collector I always reccomend slow and steady! Don't buy into hype, buy what has meaning to you ...or you and your loved ones! Happy to hear you have support at home! It's an awesome figure though! I went with non artisan deluxe version today

I've waited for a really good jack sparrow... Especially for the high price of hot toys. this finally really looks nice for the price. Quite a bit better than the last one. And I'm good with the attire.

It really do be beautiful. Regular Deluxe for me in EU! Over here the movie is called Pirates of the Caribbean Salazar's Revenge, lol. The difference in rooted dreadlocks and plastic are nearly indistinguishable unless you really inspect them next to each other in my humble opinion. Also, it'll save me a lot of gold coins by going non-Artisan! Love this announcement, and love the option of non-artisan 🏴‍☠🏴‍☠🏴‍☠

I just bought the collectors/regular edition not for me but just a present for my mother. She loves Jack Sparrow and Johnny Depp so I know she would enjoy this along with me :) Also I thought the lantern was using a battery I saw somewhere maybe not tho.

I agree with you. A worthy upgrade for DX06 owners, but not so much from DX15. This release reminds me of other "1.5" upgrades, like Robocop and Wolverine. But I do wish Hot Toys would focus on figures that badly need a refresh, like Terminator, Predator Dutch, Alien Ripley.

There is no such thing as a USB lamp. USB is just a data and power delivery system, not a light source. LED lights can be powered via batteries, USB (as the new Star Wars figures are), or directly an electrical conductor.
