I 100% agree with the number 1 pick. I bough the night monkey figure just for the base. Still boggles my mind how I bought it way under retail. The light effects truly bring it to life, it looks so good.

Cool man! I forgot some of these, lol. Not even an IT fan but the Pennywise base is so cool. I always think about the 1/4 scale bases for Vader and Mando as the craziest official bases I've ever seen. I'm glad you have the sand footprint base the #1 spot though, it does genuinely deserve it.

A true game changer!

I've never paid attention to the Pennywise figure. Not my style! However, in all of the years I've been collecting sixth scale figures... I have to admit that the display base having a dual purpose is genius! That base is an entirely separate display piece in itself! Placing the extra sculpt in there is such a great idea.

I don't know what it is, but the bases with WATER effects always draw me in. The Jack Sparrow base...the Dark Knight bases with Catwoman and Bane...the IT storm drain....the water looks so amazing and I wanna be in it. Which is weird, because one is in the damn sewer, one's in a gutter leading to a murder clown-spider, and another has a rotting zombie shark in it. But still, it always looks so beautiful.

Great list. Agreed on Dark Side Anakin, InArt Joker (I got this figure on eBay partly for that jail cell base), and ESB Vader. For me, I would add Wolverine Days of Future Past, Princess Leia and Wicket from ROTJ, and Superman the Movie -- that Fortress of Solitude is awesome!

Great video! You made a lot of good points with the evolution of bases. Your rankings are solid, especially with the stealth suit spidey lava base. My favorite is the InArt Joker base. Love the Dark-Side Anakin base, but for me the only drawback is the switch is on the bottom, meaning you have to remove the figure and turning it over.

Great video, Keco. What’s funny is I decided to get the stealth spider man standard version over the deluxe several years ago when he came out. I didn’t think of posing the deluxe with Mysterio. D’OH! They definitely overproduced the standard & deluxe, because both have been on fire sales for the last couple years off and on. My favorite is Mark 46 2.0 with its new base of what I own. My most anticipated bases on pre order are Artisan Scarlet Witch & New Red & Blue suit Spidey deluxe with the roof top snow base. I’ve had him paid off for months with no shipping date in site. They keep pushing it back. Now the window is between now and June. SMH. 🥴 Hot Toys out here in these streets trying to be like Inart with these delays. 😭

the foot print bases!!!! not the sandy footprint bases!!! I do love my MK 46 rocky base. I agree, its awesome. I also like the battle damaged Thanos rock base, its pretty versatile too. That Pennywise base is very well designed, so very clever, but there's no way I'm ever buying that thing.

Great video. I love the detail on all of these bases. I just wish they made a 1/12th option with similar detail. No way do I have space for any of these in my home office. I know you're all about Hot Toys but is there a smaller alternative you might recommend?

There def are some options, but def depends on your budget. Mafex and Figuarts are nicer smaller scale figures

I like it, but the original is just a little more versatile and has a bigger footprint. Nice base on the new one though for sure

Several pieces - it tends to bow if it's one big piece. Check out Pop culture living room or posing with Peter's channel for a full tutorial

The integrated suit deluxe base is amazing. I actually paired my toys era vulture with it...looks like he's flying above with doc ock tentacles and pumpkin bombs underneath. That said...the base that comes with the battle damage upgraded suit is pure ass.

Keco, I love your content, I love the topics you address. But I think a tiny improvement you could make to your videos, is a slight increase in structural elements. What do I mean by that? In this case a counter with a preview of the diorama base besides the video of you speaking, I think this could elevate the content and more people might engage.

While we are at it haha I think scaling down the size and perhaps the colouring of the “social logos” (instagram etc.) would overall improve the visual appeal as well

Worst bases ever made by Hot Toys Is the biggest IW Thanos base, i hate them so much and they still use it for the new Jack Sparrow normal edition😄
