    So happy I found your channel, currently watching your videos back to back. For soft waves, would you say to get the 1 inch or the 1 1/4 inch curling iron? also, out of the three which barrel size do you use the most?

  • @yanairbe

    @yanairbe

    5 жыл бұрын

    Aww Kyalin! Thank you for the sweet words. For softer waives I’d go with the larger size (1.5” or 1.25”) and those are the two most used sizes for me. 😘

  • @genregurl

    I love softer waves and my hair is really long and thick so I use the 1 and 1/4 And it's perfect. Not too tight...not too loose.

    Yes please explain if you already haven't..lol :) Love this video! I'm getting ready to purchase a hot tools iron and wonders which would be the best for Farrah Fawcett type flips on the side..I'm think 1 1/2?..also is the gold one better or the purple coated one better..tourmaline? Thank you! :)

  • @yanairbe

    @yanairbe

    Yay! That is so exciting, I'm sure you're going to love it. I prefer the original gold coated one, but it's totally a personal preference. For her curls, I would go with a 1-1/2" curling iron and after, set my curls in hair rollers (1-1/2" or larger) to really get that voluminous curly look going. ❤️

    OMG thanks sooooo much! I just bought this curling iron and I thought my hair wouldn’t curl but now when I used your technique it worked! Can you tell me tho just how long u usually keep the curling iron on your hair?

  • @yanairbe

    @yanairbe

    5 жыл бұрын

    Aww, yay! I’m so happy to hear that. Ok, so the length depends on the hair type, the size of the section of the hair you’re working on and the heat setting. So, I can’t give you an exact number but I usually keep it on there for about 5-10 seconds. My trick is touching the piece of the hair on the barrel and if it feels warm, you’re done. You have to be very careful not to touch the actual barrel though just the hair on top. The longer you keep it on there the better the curl but the more damage you’ll cause to your hair so I’d stick to the shortest time possible that gives you the curl. Phew haha hope this was helpful! 😘❤️

    Yana Irbe I tried it and I got flawless curls, thanks to you! Thanks so much! I was wondering if 1 1/4 inch is the best curling iron or if it’s your favorite cause I got that one and everyone’s saying that the 1 inch is better, can you please give me your opinion on it!?! Thanks! ❤️

    I would suggest using the styling cream before you curl your hair as the heat will help the product go into the hair n help your hair curl better n stay longer. With using the product after curling you have undone some of the work you did. Hope this helps 😊

    You can set little higher if you don't having 30 minutes only 10 minutes! Usually I start at the middle achieving longer lasting curls,prevent the ends !i don't straight the end rolling up to the top often if I wanna loose curls! If you having layers don't straight at the end, curl little higher still down at the bottom holding your shorter layers!

    No wonder you damaged your hair in the past. First rule at beauty school - NEVER EVER curl your hair from the ends up. The ends are the most fragile parts of the hair, it is always recommended to curl from the base down to the ends, so that the ends have the least contact with the iron.
