The level of ignorance and stupidity from some of these ‘journalists’ beggars belief! Even my brother’s grandson knows more about the Palestine/Israeli conflict than some of these people. All they seem to report is biased news, it’s never balanced. The calibre of ‘journalism’ has really sunk to a new level. All the best journalism is on social media. I’m in my seventies and have followed the oppression and suffering of Palestinians for decades. I dare say many of us in my age group and older know much more about this particular situation than these so called journalists. Saying that the level of in-depth news from some of the young journalists on KZread and social media is exceptional. It’s the reason why I’ve subscribed to so many, I very rarely watch MSM especially when it comes to the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. They have some fantastic spokespeople on their channels, great human stories and show real empathy towards their subjects.

Most people you see on those cable shows (does anyone under 65 still watch those) are also just talking heads. The best reporting comes from INVESTIGATIVE journalism, you know, the people that somehow have the funds to spend months investigating a topic. Social media is just a tool used to disseminate information. There are no journalists that work for social media companies. Also, at least do your own research. People are on social media to make money. Why do so many people forget this? And the trend is for them to generally not know what they are talking about. My genuine question to you is, how many Palestinian accounts do you follow on social media?

If the UN's credibility is in question, then maybe the UN charter that established Israel should also be reconsidered for revocation.

The attempt to discredit has many purposes. The case of Genocide against Israel is predicated on the fact that a lot of evidence of Israel's crimes stem from UN agencies, specifically UNRWA and this act with the knowing collusion of the US, Canada, Australia et al is an attempt to undermine the credibility of it as a witness. Secondly, Israel believes that UNRWA is crucial to Palestinian identity and specifically to the collective Palestinian identification as refugees with a right to return. The reality is that Palestinian identity and identification with their land exists independently of UNRWA and the right-to-return is enshrined independently of UNRWA's upholding of it. However, Israel seeks to eliminate any Palestinian of identity in the next generation - to eradicate the collective memory and the collective history (which is why it targets universities, libraries, museums and historical sites). They want to enforce a mass-forgetting as they know that as long as Palestinians exist, Israel's claims to the land are illegitimate. Israel's claim to Palestine therefore necessitates the destruction, that is the genocide of Palestinians as a people, and Israel sees the end of UNRWA as a crucial lynch-pin in that goal.

Australian foreign minister Penny Wong has cited the fact that UNRWA sacked their own employees as an excuse for Australia suspending funding to UNRWA in the midst of an humanitarian disaster. She admits that she has seen no evidence for the allegations. But - as Sam points out - the reason why UNRWA sacked the employees without investigation or proof was because they were afraid of being defunded. The Australian case for suspending funding is therefore circular.

Australia said they were considering reinstating the funding and Israel had a hissy fit about it. Also the head of UNRWA and Irelands foreign minister held a press conference yesterday, during which they said that the accusations are probably lies, as Israel has lied in the past about UN agencies. They that they still haven't provided evidence, and that it will be investigated because it seems Israel is using the accusation as a tactic of war to starve Palestinians

Can we have every interview be a hard ball one for Isreali officials from now on? The questions need to be smarter and expose their lies like this. Would love to see this more for US spinners as well.
