What is your genes? My 6 year old daughter has cystic fibrosis, she is double delta508. I love watching you 2. Obviously because you're both amazing and also because it's very interesting for me to see an adult with C.F., helps me know what to expect with my daughter (I know every c.f. is different) But seeing your marriage and your life gives me perspective.

I struggle with an auto immune disease... Rheumatoid Arthritis. I found you guys last year while looking for info on service dogs for diabetes. 2 of my 6 children have type 1 diabetes. Your strong Christian faith and positive approach to life remind me of myself... I find myself praying for you often and daily! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. It really makes a difference for so many! I also follow Peter's ministry and enjoy his teachings. I value his insight, knowledge, faith, and values. It appears that he truly lives his life in line with The Word of God! Peter and Mary, Thank you for being beacons for this dark world!

I was really glad to see your Instagram post. I’m often frustrated by the whole “you like fine so you must *be* fine” misjudgments. When I was so sick and begging for someone to take me seriously and help me, I was so badly dismissed and scoffed at over and over. With some crazy perseverance and better healthcare professionals, I’ve now accessed help like diagnoses, medications, IV fluids, and mobility aids... Now I’m taken so much more seriously as a “sick person,” even though having accessed those things has meant that I’m now far less unwell because of them. It’s infuriating and heartbreaking, really. And I know SO many people who experience the same. And sometimes I look terrible but actually feel “pretty good” (relatively speaking). Or vice versa, I look well but I feel like death warmed over. People have also made the assumption that because I’m not using my wheelchair in certain situations, that I’m “better.” When really, it could be that I’ve just had to walk up some stairs (how would I have used a wheelchair there, exactly?) to get to my car, where my wheelchair stayed because I was too unwell to carry it inside after the last time I used it. It’s not that I didn’t need it in that moment, but that I simply didn’t have it. Or maybe my arms were more tired than my legs and weighing the pros and cons, it seemed easier to walk a bit than to use my arms to propel myself in my wheelchair. But really, it could be one of my worse days. So many variables that go into a single snapshot of someone’s day and the choices they make. Things are not always as they seem.

same here, I have severe hypothyroidism (among a host of other things), and it caused me to gain some weight. Not much, but enough to get a few comments from those who know me before, and a snarky remark from my spouse - yup, the person who is supposed to be my support system did it too. So I am going to send you a virtual hug, and hope that more people listen to Mary and Peter's core message: Don't judge other people. Blessings!

Thanks for the hug, here's one back. hypothyroidism can definitely cause weight gain. I don't let it bother me so much because I just have more important things to care about but I hate it that they are so insecure that they need to tear someone else down. Then there are those who think shaming will somehow make you lose weight. I'm bipolar and that started the weight gain with the medications I was on but now it's even harder to lose it because I'm much less mobile with stage 4 COPD.

No, I know what that is and I'm glad I don't have it. I'm 62, on meds for bipolar (one of those invisible diseases that people think you're just making excuses), and I have stage 4 COPD which makes for limited mobility. Proder Willie is so sad to deal with. I had a patient with that once.

I just showed my hubby that last part.......about being a little kinder and more patient with people.......That rang so true to me.....I am guilty of rushing people and getting angry at little things.......people in stores on the road...And you are so right you really never know what someone else is dealing with or suffering from.......we all need to be more excepting and kind.......Thank you for that!

Peter and Mary. You guys might not wear a cape but you are superheroes. You keep fighting no matter how hard things are. It's ok to be angry, it's ok to be happy its ok to be human. You are an inspiration to a lot of people. My cousin is 11 and he had never heard of CF and I have said this before, he was amazed. He asked me 'is she always like that?' When you had just had a coughing fit and trying to steady your breathing, meaning does she always have a cough, always have to take meds and is she always poorly. So I explained that she look ok until she starts coughing but that's only the outside and we started to talk about how things inside effect life in your case CF and with liver disease, asthma, EDS and things like that. He was amazed by you and not only of how brace you ate but he was shocked you're alive. Keep fighting. Lots of love D and my cousin DM

Mary, Peter is right-- you really ARE amazing! And Peter is, too. Every time I stop by your channel, I leave feeling encouraged. The way you love and support each other and continue to push forward despite hardships is truly incredible. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself when I have a hard day, or when I'm not feeling well, and I know that's totally okay, but then I think of you and I'm encouraged to push through. God bless you as you fight your bacteria. And please send up a prayer for my 38 yr old daughter Jenny... she had a stroke today. She gone through 16 weeks of chemo for breast cancer, a double mastectomy and now this. Please God, heal her.

I have chronic fibromyalgia and insomnia and you really hit the nail on the head with 'sick' and 'still sick' - thank you! Sometimes I can pull it together and leave the house to do errands, etc and nobody has any idea how much pain and fatigue I am in sometimes. And ..... I also need the reminder to be patient with people. Think of both of you (ok - all 3 of you!)

As I sit here in the hospital again with an infection they can't figure out, I watch you and it reminds me not to get upset or down in the dumps because there's others out there who have it way worse. You both are uplifting.

What you said at the end about looking healthy on the outside but you're actually sick is totally true. I was recently diagnosed with dysautonomia and it's true, people think you look healthy and don't understand that you are sick, which is hard. Thank you guys for doing what you do, spreading awareness and giving hope, even through the hard times

I too, have a needle in my chest! It was just found that I have a new bacteria growing and hopefully this new drug will take care of it. I have no appetite, eat baby food for the past three months, and lost over 20 pounds. Now I am totally disabled. Have Late stage chronic Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, neurological issues which are permanent, short term memory loss, syncope, balance issues, stomach is not functioning, and the list goes on. My husband and I love watching the three of you every day. You make our journey more bearable! God Bless you all, prayers every day for you!

Mary and Peter I just wanted to say that I've been following you now for a little while and it is just so nice to see such a sweet, loving couple that takes one day at a time. Your sentiments in todays vlog were right on target with what happens in todays society. Everyone is in a hurry, they don't smile, heck they don't even look at you in the eye as they are all gazing at cell phones. I faced cancer 3x in the last 15 years and everyone always said wow you look great even though I felt horrible. So you are right, be kind to one another, you don't know what someone is going through in their own personal life. Also, I just love Ollie. My family is a poodle family, we have 6 standard poodles between my moms and my sisters and I have 1 tiny teacup poodle, they are so smart, it is awesome to watch Ollie working with Mary and keeping watch over her. Sending you healing hugs and prayers as well.

We have worried, hoping you feel better soon. We want you to know we are thankful for you....for helping us through hospital and emergancy room visits in the last 6 months. My 11 year old daughter asks how would Mary handle this? Thanks for being a superhero!

I currently live in Boston as I'm in college right now (I normally live 30 minutes away), seeing you guys driving around in places I'm near makes me so exited! I'm always like "oh my goodness my favorite people are so close to me right now!!!"

You are an inspiration to so many of us....I have chronic pain, and sometimes when I get so frustrated with my Dr.s who know how to give me a better quality of life, but won't, I watch one of your videos and look at how brave and uncomplaining you are. Mary you are amazing and Peter I'm sure Mary will agree you are way more than a sidekick, you are a kind, compassionate, loving support to your beautiful wife who despite that positive attitude and smile would maybe not shine as bright as she does if she didn't have that support. I have been amazed by a close friends son and watched the real struggles and difficulties you carry behind that gorgeous smile, so pretty much know the reality as when this friends son was little I was privileged to be allowed support them and the sole person trusted with him when they needed a break, or even something as simple as being able to get time for a relaxing bath knowing someone was there. Anyway, thank God he received his transplants 4 yrs ago and is doing fantastic. He has become a real ambassador for CF at home Ireland, yep I'm 100% Irish so unusually for us as we never stop chatting....lol...I have been following your journey but haven't posted before. He plays in a band, lives independently and does all the things he wants to do, in fact you wouldn't recognise him as after all the years of high calorie intake eh he doesn't quite burn it off like before....grin...he's not overweight but in comparison to pre transplant he is heavier so initially people didn't recognise him....lol. Anyway, I just wanted to you are an absolutely incredible pair as you battle CF and a real role model to anyone with a life threatening illness, your positivity, smile and willingness to share is not only brave but selfless. You just keep fighting the fight and ALWAYS remember there are many many offering prayers and thoughts as they walk the journey with you. Peace and love to you both, Jacinta. Xx

Ugh I hate the post low bg anxiety/adrenaline rush and I REALLY hate the hospital anxiety. But I do exactly the same thing when I’m anxious and crank the music! I’m so sorry the home ivs aren’t working for you and that the options are limited that’s frustrating. I’m having the same frustrations of the doctors not having options of how to further treat my pain since it’s so severe and in too many places and my gastroparesis & malabsorption complicates things so I have literally spent the last week crying pretty much every day because my doctor is pretty much giving up on me and I’m so scared that nobody is going to be able or willing to help me and my body seems to just be getting worse and worse and I’m now almost completely bedbound with very little quality of life with the amount of pain and nausea im in but you guys know me, I’m addicted to this vlog and I love leaving annoyingly long comments and chatting with you when you’re able to respond so thank YOU for giving me a reason to keep fighting ❤️💪🏻😘✨🥄 I know you’ve got an amazing support system but if you ever want to chat about ANYTHING you can always message me on Facebook or instagram (Spoonieswift91) anytime 💖 love you guys!!!!

I just have to say that I have been watching your vlogs for about a month now and you guys are truly inspirational. I am not chronically ill, i don’t have anyone close to me chronically ill but after seeing your story i realize that everyone is chronically dealing with something. It could be big or small but how you react and your attitude towards the life that God has given you is what truly counts. And of course the support of a wonderful spouse!! I do not want to say that what you live with each day is anything compared to my chronic sinus headache or body ache or whatever ailment i may have that day but you have taught me to roll with the punches and make the best of what you have. I️ pray that your lungs get the rest they need over the next few days 😉 and your hospital stay goes well and is short! Above all thank you for sharing your life with us and being such an inspiring family!! Also i think multi color lights in your house would be very cool! Especially in your bedroom with how the walls are slanted! Just saying!
