Cygames's Uma Musume site mentions nothing about CR, and considering CR screwed them over with Street Fighter and Princonne, I highly doubt they'd ever let CR ever touch any of their Gacha games again.

I'm happy its finally here. I been wanting to play this for years and I really hope it does well...I know it wont do nearly as high as it did in JP but if it can get a nice steady like 10-20m per month then I'll be happy. Also this will put more eyes on the IP and maybe more people would get into the anime because honestly...the anime is very very good, and people dont give it a chance cause its just horse girls lol.

The amount of times I've googled "Pretty Derby US release date". I prayed for this and it's happening.

I've been playing the Japanese version for quite a bit now. It's a great game for the mobile game gacha that it is. Also the fairest Gacha I have seen. You get plenty of free draws during events and stuff. Almost everything you do rewards you with carrots to draw. And there are no bad characters. You can make every single horse in the game a 5 star max level. Each horse has a unique Story to them while you train them.

@@roastedsand5917 I know, I was there gandalf, 3000 years ago Cygames understands multimedia marketing very well they saw the popularity of the anime and seeing as the game wasn't half done postponed it for s2, the game was very different back then

My takeaway from playing JP: Fun, unique, Very RNG based, very time consuming (I'd spend an hour training one girl and can train multiple a day). If you just casually play and collect, the last two things I mentioned won't be problems. Everyone is gonna wanna be friends with whales for borrowing their max level support cards daily.

With how much money it makes I can't see it being taken down here also it's not done by crunchyroll I can also see a lot more people getting into it. Has a bunch of people playing the Japanese version while doing vpns and doing loopholes to play it for years

Also fun fact: most of these horse girls are named after actual horses that raced in every derby in Japan (since most horses IRL are dudes & few mares & fillies (girls) )

Been waiting for this for four years 😭 Finally I can properly enjoy the story because I love the anime.

I did dabble the taiwan version of the game and it is a training simulator to train your horse girls to become the best in the races. On the surface, it looked like a typical idol game or anime. Yes, there is song and dance but only the 1st season. But if you stay long enough from season 2 onwards, it is actually more of a sport anime since every horse girl have their moments to shine and you feel their emotions especially the 2nd and 3rd season. So don't let the initial impression scare you but stay on or watch some clips of them running and you will be amazed how good it is.

Hey FG, from one fellow who grew up in the lone star state to another, I have a funny story to tell you. So a VTuber was talking with another VTuber while playing Minecraft, right? They were talking about Read Dead Redemption II, which one was nearly done playing and the other had not played at all, but has seen enough to say it was basically Grand Theft Auto out in the wild west. So the VTuber asks the other what the cops do when you get your wanted level too high, do the cops still chase you with helicopters or do they get on horses too? After a moment of confusion and clarification, it turns out the VTuber believed that RDR2 was in fact GTA but happening over yonder in Texas! 🤣

I've tried the JP version and i just don't get it. Of course the language barrier doesn't help but i do know it's doing very well in other countries. I'll probably try the English version.

About the anime, both game and anime was actually announced at the same time as its a multi media project from the start. But the game got delay hell and the anime aired first, which I like to think helped building hype for the game.

They release the teaser for the project back in 2016, both the anime and game trailer in 2017, in 2018 the anime aired and the game should release after the anime But, the game have development trouble and take long delay, until in 2019 the game director change Pandemic hit and it take another delay, and finally the game was release in 2021 together with anime Season 2 (Peak)
