Donated the first time. I think I just donated the best money I've given. I am older and have had horses all my life. Mine are ancient now , but still going. 27 and 28. When they pass, I plan on donating all the money I spend on them to shelters like yours. The love I get from my horses, dogs, cats is nothing like any human has given. Love what you do and am now a supporter. God bless the animal kingdom, they are our teachers and saviors.

That was a beautiful story about the mom and baby horse. I just rescued a Rottweiler who had recently given birth. I was watching a puppy video not long after I brought her home, and she started searching the room when she heard the puppy noises. It was so sad.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be saved and turned to pasture?

I rescued my first horse from a Feedlot and she was a confiscation case with another Philly. Both ended up at auction together 🥺 I love what you do and hope to rescue again soon. I've learned allot from you guys. 🥰

@@BertSurl She said that many of them were in their 20s and only 2 were put down. She has explained before that only the horses that are too far gone are put down. If there is hope and they can be helped, they are. If there is nothing they can do and the animal is suffering too much, they put it down.

@@lailai3230 that is not what people who have worked with and for them say though. I find it credible as well, since $1000 is not enough to purchase, transport, feed, vet, and have a farrier work on a horse. It is enough to purchase a horse and put it down via bolt gun, then turn a profit. If you click on the link I provided it has info about their organization from people who have worked there and that is why I ask. It states that any horse over 10 is generally put down, or with any medical needs. The rescue also uses or used a bolt gun per their volunteers and associates on this site, which is not different from what slaughter houses use.

I love that as soon as they realized that they can be a normal horse they take it. It's so heartwarming. Liberty is doing great, we put a saddle on her for the first time since getting her today. A little food aggressive but not surprising since she was so skinny when you rescued her.

I grew up with horses and all animals and I believe that any animal like a horse or a dog or cat or goat should be treated like family if you are going to commit and Tawnee you are right the last kind act you can give them is the act of ending there suffering if there is nothing you can do I watch all your episodes and love what you do keep up the work you do and abuse is not ok

Sarah and Jessie brighten my day, as does all the staff at Horse Plus, there devotion and commitment to all the animals in their care is an inspiration to all of us. I'm in AZ on disability and i i don't get much. These horses have grass readily available and are in this condition? Idk but my horse comes 1st. Made the decision to get a horse before I knew I was sick. I rescued a ottb and he was in bad shape. He still has his anxiety but that will never go away but he is night and day. He is attached to me at the hip. I'm his 6th owner and he's spoiled so I see why lol. I've had him for 8 years now. He is 15 lol he's my best friend. I can't imagine starving him or letting his feet go least of all sending him to auction. I'm trying to get in a program to learn new work skills so I can afford me too😂😭💀 as a pet owner we have to do what's right. We made that choice. I have pawned my last everything to keep him at times i had 0. I just can't imagine how anyone could do this 😔 thank you for saving them.

That mare with the orange tag in her mane looks to be a pure bred American Saddlebred. She is absolutely gorgeous! She looks like she's been ridden really hard, and handled roughly. She seemed to be defensive. I honestly believe that after 30 days in quarantine she'll have a chance to really settle down. Jessie shouldn't have to much trouble getting to know her and begin to communicate with her. I really hope you guys can keep me posted on her progression. You have my email.

What a tear jerker about the Mom and her baby - so glad you gave an updated picture of them being adopted together - how great is that!?! Thank you for all you guys do. Would love to see a where are they now video - like either pics or videos from the adoptors. Just a thought. Part of why i love Steve Young who always does an update of how the horse he worked with before posting the video. Hope that helps.

You guys are fantastic!! I cannot help financially, I'm retired, have a beautiful, quarter horse gelding. His board/upkeep plus supporting myself doesn't leave alot of money left over at end of the month. My HEART is with you. I send many prayers for these lovely horses you save from a horrific end. I always encourage people who “want a horse” to find a good rescue organization. And please folks do not overlook our elder horses. I have had three make it over 30 happy years. My current Paso is 27. We run him with his best bud Reno, a 10 year old Tennessee Walker. Thank you for all you do. Our 100 acre farm may soon be a rescue for large animals if I have my way. Watching your videos and grinning from ear to ear! 🤍🤍🤍

I have a black cat and I know he is very bullheaded and wants to do what he wants to do. But I wouldn’t give him up for the world. He is staying with me for the rest of his life.

Y'all are awesome, everything you do. I watch all that I can and the best part of your videos -- All is great but what warms my heart the most is the part where you video the horses running out of quarantine headed for the pasture and they know a new lease on life. How wonderful.

That is a fine-looking bunch of black cats (to which I am quite partial)! If we'd had the space at the time, I'd have tried to see if I could have come to get one...we always have at least 1 black cat around the house for good luck.

I donated for the auction and I´m so happy to see the horses rescued now :) Your work truly inspires me to support horse rescue. I owned horses since my 4 birthday. Think there are a lot of horse-people out there, that do not have a clue what is going on. I will go back to Germany soon and I will start to make people aware of the situation.

What would be amazing if more shelters like y’all came in at the Auction and all came together to adopted more horses so most of them wouldn’t have to go to the slaughter. that would be cool but very stressful and hard. But anyways I love your shelter and what y’all do there and I hope this continues forever!:)

What an episode! The story of your mare being reunited with her baby was so heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time. Separation of mothers from babies is tough. I gave up dairy because of the bond between mother and child. Warms the hear that they can be reunited. Can't wait to see how your little Ox gets on too. So many great resuces. Love to you all for the fabulous work you all do.
