A huge thank you to the two pairs of horses seeing they did the grunt work. I loved watching horse pulls at the Cornish Fair each August in Cornish, NH. Thank you Trudy, Abby, Brenda and Jim for the family get together. I like your videos because of the simplicity surrounding family life.

Fantastic singing girls...women. And great pulling horses and teaming Jim. I've been to a number of horse pulls and always loved them, am amazed at what those horses can pull. This was a fun event.

THANK YOU AND YOUR FAMILY for a wonderful and heart loving experience working with the horses. I absolutely love the idea of working with horses. All I have of working with horses are stories because I was 2.5 years old the last time we had a team of horses. We had a log wagon that my older Brothers would cut the trees down by hand with a two man saw. Drag the logs out to the field where the crib was, pull the wagon up to the crib. Roll the log by hand with pee vees, on the wagon and take the loaded wagon down the mountain to the sawmill, turn around and do it all over again. I remember one incident, on our way back up the mountain (road if you want to call it that) we stopped at the spring at the bottom of the mountain for a drink of beautiful mountain water. (We were NYC born and raised) My Brother Johnny would put me on Duke to ride up the mountain, (about a mile) my Brother said I would just sit there and hold on to the hames. I remember the hames, they were brass and shinny. This took place in 1955 UP STATE NY 30 miles East of Binghamton, NY. From when I was a young teenager I always wanted to drive a team of horses sitting on a wagon, or a sleigh. Till today I haven't found the opportunity to do so. The wife and I are making a trip to mid Montana to attend our granddaughters wedding on September 9th, 2023. I will ask while in Montana, if there is a farm that would let me drive a team. I use to ride a horse very well bare back!

This brought back some pretty wonderful memories watching your horses pull. My husband and I went on our very first date to a horse pull 40 years ago. We are sure you did that just for us as we probably will be celebrating alone as our daughter lives in the Netherlands and our son may be traveling for work IF the country opens back up. I tell Hunny that we started this journey just the two of us and if need be we can soldier on another year of wedded bliss together. I think your horses are just beautiful and when they are working it is magical. Thanks so much for sharing your time working with those beauties!!!:):):)

Those girls are lovely and they sing very well and they are funny. The National Anthem is not easy to sing and it has been mangled at many events but not this one.You are a blessed family. Jim Gordon took first and second place, congrats. I appreciated the comments from the horses, to the point without a lot of excuses.

Shame about the tripod, understand its not the only one been killed in Jims vlogging adventures. That was the BEST national anthem at a sporting event EVER!!!😊 This was the best horse pull event, EVER!!! 😊 The judges were the best Ever ! The filmography was the best ever! The weight stacker, the horse hitcher & the horse driver…for both team was the best ever! That was the most fun to watch 🎉😂 Having daughters is a hoot!😊

Great horses, Jim, you couldn't have better ones. How calm they still were with ever increasing loads; not the usual three or four man crew to just get them on the hitch. By the way, everyone would probably know right away that the two young ladies are Brenda's daughters - what similarities! Thank you for a great show. In these days of social isolation we are grateful for any kind of sound entertainment.

This is my second time viewing this outstanding family values. I laughed as much as the first viewing. The dry wit of the sisters is unbelievable Funny funny funny. Lol Jim I can just imagine what the horses ate thinking, Why doesnt this guy make up his mind,he has us pulling this sled back and forth and back and forth

This video came up in my feed today. I've been watching for a little over a year now, and I had to see who would win this pull. Both teams did great but I must admit that the Belgians were a prettier team because of Lady but the Percherons were quite stately. You all did an amazing job with this video. Quite entertaining.

There has to be an easier way to smooth out the ruts in the yard. Lol. 🤣 Great signing, ladies. It was a fun video to watch and enjoy.

Hilarious, I'm binge watching your channel, learning a lot.

What a treat! Way more exciting than thought it would be, especially the singing by Trudy and Abbey! I would guess Trudy is older, but being one of two sisters myself, I'm probably wrong😂. Such hard work by Jim Gordon and Jim Gordon, the Belgians, Lady and Bill, the Percherons, Ken and Buck, and the much graceful and great Brenda! Thank goodness you're ok! Had a good laugh when the weight was measured as "a lot" 😂😂😂. The singing of the National Anthem was the best I've ever heard, honestly! Your horses were stoked and it was a joy to watch their power and capability. I was pretty worried that the crowd was going to foul up the competition and it was good that you cautioned them. Ken's commentary was a bit concerning seeming he was looking not to offend his partner. Hmm. Congratulations to Jim Gordon and Bill and Lady! Glad I didn't miss this, the best Horse Pull by far! ❤❤❤ Love from NY!

Wow!!! What a funny and wholesome video. Loved the prayer, the National Anthem, the announcing, and the size of the crowd,.....Standing room only!!! As for who looks the youngest,.....I say Brenda is the youngest. (I might look dumb, but I ain't stupid?!) I think Jim got more of a workout than the horses did. Quote of the day:......We don't have the exact weight of what the Stone Boat is,.....But we are going to guess that it is a lot?!?!
