This is the final episode of our Sardinia mini-series. We have located many more interesting abandoned sites on the island, so we could easily do another trip. But this depends on if you want to see more of Sardinia's hidden structures. In two weeks, we will upload our next adventure. It's finally time to share our explorations from the France road trip last winter!

This was interesting. Thank you! As a friendly word of caution from someone in the medical field, I'd suggest that for your own personal health and safety you wear respirator masks or even a surgical mask in abandoned buildings, but especially where there are any animal or bird feces present. Wear disposable gloves if you plan to touch anything. You'd be surprised how much bacteria, fungus, mold, or bird and bat born diseases there are in these old buildings. Some can be deadly. Just, FYI. Talk to your Doctor for more info!

I'd say some of that equipment pre-dates the 60's.. Nice find.. Thx for taking us along for the ride...

For me, the most terrifying thing was the speculum between the book pages! I'm far more familiar with those things than I would like to be.

Yeah. Dentists do NOT have speculum or books on sexual anatomy - more was going on in that house than our explorers recognized!

That was an interesting mini dental clinic and the devices do look much older than from the 70s, possibly predating the 50s. When you got upstairs and were looking through that book, and said something to the effect of, "interesting bookmark" I recognized what that metal device was that was on the book, as a nurse. It was a speculum! For female gynecological exams. You mentioned that someone disappeared from that villa due to possible Mob ties and it possibly being a hit making them disappear? I have a sneaking suspicion that that vintage dental clinic in its later days wasn't used for practical dentistry. I think it may have been a deep underground undercover abortion clinic (the speculum!) or possibly a place where men were taken by the mob to be made to "talk" with dentistry drills and implements. Yikes. I've watched too many movies, LOL. The place was sad and definitely creepy.

Had a pretty creepy vibe, more than bad teeth in that place!! And why all that heavy duty security bars, going up to the residence and outside the courtyard?

Absolutely brilliant composition of a documentary of an explore! Amazing! One of the best I've seen over the many years of watching your videos!! Well Done!!!!!

Sidenote: My father hold an abonnement of "National Geografic" in the late 90's. As we just occasionally watched TV these magazines had a huge impact of me learning about the world beyond what was taught in school. The style and focus of these reportages where probably colonialist and not at all "fair" to the subjects of journalism, but I really like remembering long hours laying on the floor and ready theses stories :)

I would love to see more of Sardinia, but will happily watch wherever you go. I love the way you filmed the dentistry equipment I remember well from when I was around your ages. When I was a little girl, National Geographic was with black and white photography, my Grandparents had a subscription. I think people are too easily frightened these days…dead and abandoned don’t hurt you unless you are careless about where you step. The living can be much more dangerous. Stay well, and keep enjoying the journey.🖤🇨🇦

That was very interesting! I was a teenager back in the 60’s and I recognized a lot of the equipment in the office area! Gave me shivers! Thank you!

Yeah it's true, as example people like me love watching horror stories but don't want to be a part of it. Affraid but strangely love it at the same time😁 I appreciate you guys never affraid because of your curiosity, without urban explorers maybe we only know a bit stories about abandoned places.

I am stunned you have not come here to England yet. So many amazing abandoned places and so much history. I spent 2 years with my ex, exploring a derelict Victorian Lunatic Asylum on the Isle Of Wight. Very much haunted and it scared the crap out of me to be honest, what I experienced there. Church tower and laundry and everything. Sadly, now redeveloped into apartments and apparently residents have experienced issues there. It was called Whitecroft Hospital. Out in the middle of nowhere.

These abandoned places that have everything left as it was once, are how museums should be. Museums are too clean and clinical, shiny windows separating objects from people, you can't really get the feel of how things were. It's just a shame that people can be destructive and disrespectful and ruin experiences for the genuinely curious . That's why I love videos like these. I would love to be able to do this and experience first-hand what they feel when entering these eerie places, slowly taking it all in and imagining what the former owners would think of someone touring their homes with a camera wondering why anyone would be interested in even the simplest of things, and making stories about how they thought the people lived all those years ago. It's fascinating and sad at the same time🙂💖

How incredibly interesting. If this was a legitimate dental practice, there would have been records of some kind. How incredibly eerie that there was no evidence of a dentist there amongst all those papers and bills.

That dentist sure knew how to keep his clients calm. Reminds me of the sado-masochist dentist scene (played by Steve Martin) in The Little Shop Of Horrors.

I would love to see more!. Very interesting so far so there has to be more of interest.

I forget how young you young men are. I was born in the 1960s so National Geographic, dictionaries and encyclopedias were our means of information and introduced by door-to-door salesmen. Internet and Microsoft Windows wasn’t even thought of yet. You haven’t lived until you discover the past. Nice short film.

There was some beautiful furniture left in that place. Those vintage dental illustrations…😬 Imagine going to the dentist and seeing them on the wall. They would scare you into brushing your teeth regularly.

I can't understand why 45 people would hit "dislike ". As always I found this video to be interesting and well produced.

There is a medical museum in Indianapolis that has so much in their collection, this place reminds me very much of that building! Would love to see more of Sardinia!

Noticed the same thing, the fact that the bowl is partially open, had me frightened. Someone should really inform the authorities about it, or go there with a Geiger counter, just to be safe, there's some quite terrifying stories about old, left behind x-ray machines being taken apart by unknowing metal scrapers that caused fatality and many cases of radiation sickness in the surrounding area.

Good old national geographic I'm still a fan of the magazine and the channel Til this day

Incredible juxtaposition. A glimpse back to a time, where on display are shown our ancestors advanced techniques in dentistry, which viewed today frightens our 20th Century soul.

When your video starts with a clip of The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari it’s a sign of eerie to follow. I really hope that was a training facility. I would have Been out of there toute suite. Great job all, I was riveted.

This dental equipment appears to be much older than the house itself. All the devices are independantly put on the walls instead of being integrated to the dental chair. That was how dental equipment was before the 1910's. The first integrated dental unit was created by the Ritter company in 1913. The marble electric current distributor also dates back to the beggining of the 20th century. Only the Xray tube seems more modern, probably manufactured after WW2. It is weird to find a speculum upstairs in the library. This one appears to be an anal speculum and is next to a kind of gastroenterology book.

@@zyourzgrandzmaz look at the light projector in front of the chair (the cone shaped device made out of brass) : it was what was used to enlight the oral cavity before the invention of the halogen bulb and shadowless operating light fixtures. If all this equipment was 50's to 70's, the dental unit would have an air turbine integrated or retrofited on the unit. And the electric motor (in the metal sphere under the gantry) would be smaller and integrated on the dental unit. And again, the marble electric distributor on the wall is early 20th century technology. Only the Xray generator is periodically correct (50's to 70's). I am a dentist and I own 2 books about the history of dentistry. I also visited 2 dental museums in France and London. I know dental technology better than you.

Great place, lovely filmed. Only I think this dental house is much older than the 60's or the 70's. I grew up in those years and a dentist office looked the same as it does know. Love from Amsterdam 🌷
