Which is why He says after that there’s no telling which way it might go after death, meaning His soul, and that it could go to Heaven or Hell. pernell L , good point, hadn’t really thought of that but could be true as well. Honestly with deep lyrics like that , that are very personal to the artist, it’s really hard to ever know for sure. But just based on some of His other songs, I definitely feel He struggles with His faith and the idea that it may be all bullshit. So that’s where I was coming from with my comment, but I’d love to hear what He would have to say about it

Problem with that though is that he's not an atheist. He said it in interviews that he's wants to know God and wants to believe in God, but he can't trust a book written by humans. So he's going at it his own way and waiting for someone to explain it to him in a way he can understand or an event to happen that leaves him satisfied knowing God does or doesn't exist. That was in an interview in 2014/2015 I think.
