I'm so glad you reacted to this Shaq. This song. A part where he said "I had a dream I was walking with the devil, I dont remember how it feels, but I swear I remembered the smell" when I was struggling with crippling depression I would have dreams of seeing the devil and I would remember the smell just like he said and wake up to still smelling it. some mornings i would woke up with 3 scratch marks over my chest on the side of my heart. I was struggling with belief in god because I felt so much pain from my depression. until one day I broke down and got on my knees and said I would end it all if the pain didnt end that night while praying to god. After that night of having and instant feeling of peace and feeling a hand touch my shoulder. It changed my life. But just hearing him talking about remembering the smell hit me so fucking hard. Great song.

We all differently and take differently from songs we relate to our own life. But I agree that is who he meant. Just should be sure no need to diss Shaq's abilities on one miss. Spoken right Shaq would surely own up. No intent to comment and 3 replies just see food for hate and trolls on great site bringing many together in sad times.

Thought I was clear it was to know one here that spoke yet. I'm just used to spotting what many others take out of context and jump on attack. Ounce of prevention is worth pound of cure. This really hits me close. My brother and I argue about this very subject almost EVERY SINGLE DAY. We've had a pretty rough upcoming but we always got through it. I've always believed in God and always asked him for wisdom to try and do what was right, since all I saw around me were fake, trifling, devious people that didn't care about other human beings. But as of around 6 or so years ago, losing who I believed to be my best friend after dating her, our relationship has never been the same and things has gotten worse between us, and with so many things having piled up, that was really the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I felt cheated all my life, and due to my decisions, I feel I've gotten my grandmother killed over my decisions to leave her to try and get to that friend (she lived long-distance) and it didn't even work out; so to this day, I feel my grandmother died in vain. I'm currently stuck in a bad situation with my brother over the decision I made, with a very toxic grandfather who really berates us almost every day. I've been thinking about this subject for a while, but it hasn't gotten this intense for me until the past year, where everything just keeps rushing into my mind over and over of how much of a snake my dad is, how we were abandoned when we were young, etc. My bro believes in God without question, but to me, I feel he's gone off the deep end by believing in all of this Illuminati stuff. It really hurts thinking about this stuff, I believe I've fallen into depression as of late as it gets harder and harder to want to do anything besides sleep. I don't feel motivated to do anything when I wake up, besides go right back to sleep. I don't want to disbelieve that God is real, but all I ever wanted to do in life is help people, and it seems that every possible thing that could happen to go against that goal IS happening. It's really hard to have faith when you feel abandoned and KNOW of people who deserve a better life but are struggling too.
