HOOK? “YOU’RE OFF-PLANE!” (Edutainment Parody)

If you hit a hook, you’re likely swinging too much under the plane , too much in to out, too shallow for your own good. Enjoy this parody / edutainment music vid “You’re off plane” ( “you’re so vain”) to hell explain the why and how to fix your hook!

What a great way to start the video, just put me in a great mood, after doing some golf balance exercises and your swinging the towel drill.

Amazingly clear instructions….just ordered your book. I’m a 9 handicap and still learning. Keeping it simple, like you do, is so key for your audience! Thank you.

Played today and was fighting hooks all day. Went to the range and did the towel drill and it was incredibly effective. Can’t get the song out of my head now. Thanks!!

Erica, As someone who has struggled for years being too much under the plane, I finally have found something that actually works for me. Trying to clear my left hip and posting does not work. Using the towel works when it's there, not on the course. What has finally worked for me is concentrating on turning my upper body (chest) to the left. It is amazing how this has improved my contact with the ball.

Erica Since breaking my right hip over 30 years ago, I've struggled with really poor contact, fats, thins, hooks, and inside out shanks, way too many! I went to see a Pro for help and his diagnosis was that I was coming out of my posture. What I now understand from your video is that I developed this move to keep from hitting the ground from coming too much under the plane. I absolutely hate tight lies and almost never take a divot unless it's on the wrong side of the ball. Seeing your video made me realize the real reason I have been coming out of my posture and hitting flip hooks. I also have a bad tendency to slide to much left. I wish I lived closer to you as I'm convinced you are the best golf coach I have ever seen. Keep up the good work. Senior Sooner

I cannot thank you enough my favourite teacher. I started my season late last year in July due to a medical reason. The first few weeks I was hitting every short hooking left or pushing left. This was bothering me alot but I could not figure out the reason. However after playing enough, I was able to correct this by September. But unfortunately the season came to an end in October. Bow because of your wonderful video, if I do this again in April at the start of the season, I will make sure I follow your drills and correct it quickly. Thank you Erika! You are my favourite teacher for many reasons!

wow! this was happening to me and I could not diagnose why. The tough part is I had two pros work with me and they were changing my grip and working on a shallowing move that did not help. The content was so good I almost forgot to mention how clever the parody was.

Great video, can't believe I discovered your channel today. At the end of last season for two months I have been below plane, which destroyed my game. Can't wait to get back out there this spring and put into practice your tips and drills.

Thanks Erika, another great video. In your instruction, you don’t seem to mention much about the lower body starting the downswing, so are you more of an arms feeling for the downswing? And at what point should you feel the right shoulder heading towards or covering the ball
