I am 77 years old and have been playing golf since I was 20. I have about a 25 handicap. I have always been a heavy-handed ball striker and have hit the ball, in my younger years, around 280 yards. Most of the time I slice the ball about a 100 yards and have never been consistent. I don't hit that distance anymore. I have been taking lessons and going to the driving range for 3 months but my improvement is minimal and not consistent. I came across your video the other day and watched part of it, but being tired, I put it into my bookmark to look at later. Well, today was later. I watched the full video and practiced what I could in my living room, without a club. I then went to the driving range and had the most consistent and enjoyable practice that I have ever had. Out of a large bucket of balls, I mishit about 6 balls but hit most of the other balls down the middle. I look forward to watching and learning from your other videos. THANK YOU!

@@lawbinson Never! The lowest score I ever shot was an 89, and that was in the 1990s when I was in Myrtle Beach at a friends condo. I did it by making an off-the-green putt of approximately 80 feet, than stunned not only me, but the people who had just finished the hole. I could never get out of the 90s.

A golf lesson with the goal of making the swing a comfortable experience. what a concept vs a bag full of small details that we can't remember - even if we could execute some of them. After a couple of weeks of agony on the driving range, despite a feeling of hope every time out, I began to wonder - if ever ... So last evening after watching Erika's 10 feels video, and her video on transferring weight, I headed out again - with hope. And it was awesome. More than 90% of my shots were good! Thank you Erika.

As a PGA Professional for many years, I have always created too much tension at address, and takeaway! Her feeling of moving left, then right to initiate the backswing has been very helpful to me. This allows my backswing motion form to be more lengthy, which all Senior golfers as they age, tends to shorten. One other very helpful point she makes, is that the handle of the club on the backswing should move before the head as you swing the club over your trail shoulder! Thanks Erika!

I've watched many videos and yours is the best. It reminds me of Bobby Jones' "BACKSWING". I played well for years and then saw Bobby Jones' lessons, they ruined me but I stuck with it and love it. Instead of the rollercoaster, I tried to get the feeling of weightlessness as if I was on a swing and transitioning from the top to going down. After you reach to top there's a feeling weightlessness, "suspension" just before you start dropping. I think that's a better analogy, I never got that feeling on a rollercoaster.

Erika, where have you been all of my life, I started trying to make this change in my golf swing probably 3 years ago and with your added little feels it really brings it together. I have been a hands player going way back. It worked okay when I was younger, but this technique and awareness with the golf club makes developing a very repeatable golf swing under pressure so much easier I can't tell you coming from an older golfer. I was lucky enough to have good hands to be very competitive with my old hands focused golf swing, but it's so much more difficult to be very constant and be a competitive amateur golfer....Thank YOU So Much...Cheers

I, for one, have learnt more about the golf swing in 18 minutes listening to you that I have in many, many hours listening and watching to golf "gurus" to tell people what to do, but never actually demonstrate how it is done. I like the natural fluidity in this teaching, the body will naturally know what to do given the couple checkpoints. When I use a fluid swing I tend to flush the ball much more than a rigid set point (P1, P2….) style, and I get effortless distance. My challenge is mostly low point management and not being so loose where I lose form or rotate off axis. The balance between form and fluidity is my goal

I had the good fortune of terrible weather (in Maryland) for the past several weeks. I could not put up my golf net in my murky rural yard and strike balls. I was limited to practice swings.... a golf mat placed on the driveway. However, that afforded thousands of practice swings to internalize your swing feel plan. Today (good weather) I was able to put out my net and strike the ball. I was really pinging the ball! I like this winter script. Thanks.
