Besides being a great golfer, you play piano too! We didn't tell you this when we took the school with you at Cat Island, but Anita and I (Tom) were both public school music teachers and professional musicians. So the three of us all come from NY, we're all golfers, and we're all musicians.

These look like good drills, but what are they trying to accomplish? The over-the-top swing path results in a slice that about 70%-80% of us are trying to fix. We can correct the swing path, but it won’t help if we aren’t closing the club face. They mention it in this video, but they don’t tell us how to do it. Michelle Low has YT video from three years ago called “Fix the Slice” where she describes a move with her left wrist as the “reverse motorcycle throttle”. What Michelle encourages us to do is “bow” the left wrist in the backswing to square the club face through impact. WATCH THAT VIDEO ! ! ! My slice didn’t subside until I incorporated THAT MOVE and I’m still working on it. And what I found, at least for me; when I bow that left wrist and try to hold it through impact, my body naturally tends to create that inside-out swing path that all of us over-the-top players crave.

Best Teacher on UTUBE. Played today after watching this video yesterday. I hit my driver as good as I could expect. Also hit some good irons. Great instruction! Thanks.

Erica, Ive been watching you videos all day. My swing speed practising on my return net have improved 15-20 M.P.H. Can't wait to play tomorrow. I realize it will take practise to improve! I'm older and 7 years ago I was a 4 handicap. Unfortionatly I was dianossed with Bone Marror cancer and went through Stem Cell transplant and lower Lumbar back surgery. (In remission😊) I've been working very hard to improve! Putting green in game room and return net with swing speed radar. Outside summer, inside winter. Bottom line is: I'm impressed with your vidos! Very understandable and easy to follow. Great Concepts on how to srike the golf ball!! You may be the best online golf teacher! Best Regards, Walt

As a PGA Professional for many years, I have always created too much tension at address, and takeaway! Her feeling of moving left, then right to initiate the backswing has been very helpful to me. This allows my backswing motion form to be more lengthy, which all Senior golfers as they age, tends to shorten. One other very helpful point she makes, is that the handle of the club on the backswing should move before the head as you swing the club over your trail shoulder! Thanks Erika!

I think you're confused. Jones and De La Torre said the arms move and the body follows.Strausbaugh said the body moves the arms (dog wags the tail).

Erika I started use fall and swing through out of the blue. Gained ten yards and hit flush five yards draw. You are the only one I watched teach this method. I break 80 most rounds. Now incorporating this method my goal is to score even in the summer. Can I send you my video for review. What is the cost.

Erika you mentioned coach Bill Strasbaugh. Wow. I had lessons from him back in the 60’s and 70’s. He’s long passed but he was a good teacher. Triangle, track and target. I heard you speak about the dog and wagging the tail. I don’t remember that but you spoke about Coach Strasbaugh and the dog in a video from Performance Golf.
