Lol...hoods of Lexington? There isn't a real hood Lexington, not even a place I'm afraid to walk through. This is one of the nicest cities; if not the nicest city in the country for it's size.

Cool And Trending Detroit is bad. Lexington was bad it's nice now I love it. I went to prison in 2006 and came home in 2008 they had already tore down the projects and things had changed drastically. Nobody should be proud of poverty. Side note though he did miss the parts of Lexington that are still bad.

@@BigDernSr Thanks for the info, Darren! I am planning to move there (it's closer to my daughter but still in a city where there are lots of jobs) in February or March. Just have to get the final stuff done on my house in order to sell it so I can make the move. I am looking around the net for everything I can find to learn about Lexington. It will be a nice change from the zero degree winter days we experience here in Detroit, that's for sure!

Yeah. These neighborhoods look more like the suburbs of Louisville. But bare in mind that there's about a 3 to 1 difference in people. Louisville's not really big, but the census show's it's urban population at 1 million, all in about 15 minutes of downtown. That's both sides of the river too. That's a lot of people in a small space. It also doesn't help that half of it is train yards and industrial wastelands surrounded by rundown apartments and abandoned strip malls. The highlands and East Louisville look nice. But the people are not always great. Looking for a move someday. Louisville's like living in a big city that only kept the noise violence and pollution, and got rid of transit, culture and half the people.

I'm from Lexington and I'm proud that it has been cleaned up. In this video who ever this is didn't ride threw the rough parts. I'll tell you this there are 2 to 3 murders a month here I think it's sicking. I got out of the street life. I lived in the housing projects here. Most of them were torn down by 2007. They were in shambles they used to try to renovate them but that was patch work. But over all in proud that these comments say it's nice here. Sounds like progression to me. Only by American standards. Parts of the west and north sides of Lexington still have higher crime rates, and lower safety factors, than even the worst neighborhoods in international cities like Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, or Copenhagen. The USA's urban areas really are rough. Context: I grew up in the Lexington area and have lived in several countries.

I delivered pizzas all over Lexington for over 10 years, and wasnt scared to walk up to any door in this city. I wouldn't wanna live any where else. Louisville is a different story, Fuck that place!! lol

Huh, all the lawns are mowed, trash is picked up, didn't see any burned or vacant homes, no burglar bars on home windows or doors, businesses are open, police respond to calls, white and black people peacefully coexisting and walking the streets together. If you compare Lexington to a similar size city like Hartford CT, Lexington is a paradise.

I'm still trying to figure out where we are at the beginning of the video! So what was the point of this video? You drive through older sections of our city and call them the "hood" I see nothing but older homes some in better condition than others, some with manicured lawns, but money is hard to come by now for repairs, and to pay a lawn crew!
