As a man I completly take my hat off to these fearless women for speaking out openly about their dramatic stories, in which there are men involved who have to learn how to appreciate a woman value, Yet on behalf of all good men I ask for forgiveness. My support from 🇧🇷

Im in AWE at the content i am seeing this international womens day. Well done for holding such a concise discussion. Lots of trauma, still slayin'! Yo go 🎉 *power fist*
It is so good seeing everyone from all of the communities discussing the child abuse, the child neglect, child marriage and honour killings and fgm.
What an amazing video and such incredible women. As a man I feel all men should listen to this and learn from it so all types of violence, injustice and inequality can end towards all women. Then women can do what they were meant to do which is to bring more love, peace and compassion into the world. We definitely need it now. Thank you LADbible. 🙏

Bro women weren't 'meant to bring love and compassion into the world'. They're just human beings. None of us are 'meant' to do anything, we're brought into this world by chance and make of it what we will. Reducing women to 'happy sunshiney positive all the time' is just a different form of sexism
@BarnsOfChris
2 ай бұрын
@@CoRLex-jh5vx I'm sure he didn't mean it like that. And in times where women on social media are down right demonized as evil manipulative people who want to control and abuse.. I at least would like to hear more of positive traits here and there. Don't try to be offended for the sake of it. That surely won't change anything.

@CoRLex-jh5vx

@PoisonArr0w I've already said, whether he meant it 'that way' or not, saying any group of humans is "meant" to do anything is harmful and reductive. If all women are "meant to spread happiness" then what does that mean for those who don't? It's basically just the same ideology as catcallers who order women to smile, same as the whole existence of the term 'resting bitch face' while men with the same expression are 'probably just thinking about something'. Women aren't magical pixies who flit about all smiles and sunshine, and only exist to cheer men up. Thinking that way is just exchanging one form of sexism for another and puts women on a pedestal they will inevitably be punished for falling from. I've been there, done that. It doesn't work. Subtler sexism is still sexism.

All cultures are not equal... some are dangerous, especially for women. European culture is not compatible with those backwards places and mentality. People are too accepting of those cultures because they think it's cool or "progressive", or that it's racist or xenophobic to be criticising them but it's not... it's self preservation.
The best conversation I’ve listened to in a long time. Thank you ladies for speaking up for so many women. Love from 🇰🇪

Some women here can’t believe that some women could be as cruel as men! Feminism is not about being against men but recognizing that inhumane behaviors could be exhibited by any person!
@ningiyizhuo

the point is that culture has created environments where it is normalised for men to be violent against women. nobody's saying that women are not perpetrators as well - it's just that men commit violence on a much larger scale, with the reason for it being that many cultures across the world to this day dehumanise women to the point where violence committed against them is considered just another day. yes this culture has decreased immensely in the western world, for example, however the mindset of "women are objects to be used" is still very much alive

This is truly profound. There is a bit of every woman in each of your personal stories, something relatable I also do think that there is a spark of feminism in every woman. Even though some women do not want to associate with the label feminism, owing to the bad wrap on conventional media. The women that I have interacted with make decisions that clearly goes against the grain of patriarchy's wishes. I have seen women walk out of marriages that didn't serve them I have seen women take up space in the workplace and own the space and deliver without self sabotage I have seen women who openly declare their intention to remain childless and unmarried. Thank you for this video It truly embodies intersectional feminism
Such inspiration....you give me such strength ❤

I remember a girl came into the bar I was working in and looked scared. Im so glad I asked her if she was OK. She was being stalked off the train and he tried running into the pub after I told him to get off the property. I booted him in the chest onto the pavement and a police car passed as it happend. I'll never forget it. Its becoming more and more clear to me these things are happening more regularly than I could imagine.

Firstly I would like to say Wow you are all amazing, strong and beautiful woman, I'm so sorry to hear of how you have suffered at the hands of your family and your communities, but also wrong (especially the Turkish Lady) to think that all women are not bought up equally anywhere in the world. I grew up in an English family in the UK like my friends and female cousins, we grew up with parents that encouraged us, educated us and we are equally as equipt financially and emotionally to survive in this world, with or without a man! We had amazing fathers and brothers who have stood by us and treated us as equals. Your communities and in many cases your religion allows these despicable things to happen and it is fantastic to finally see the fight back, we will be 100% behind you, please keep up the good fight and lets stop men using religion and culture as a way of control, for the sake of your daughters!!

For men that want to say that feminism is basically female above male. It's not. That's not their point. Their point is that everyone, absolutely everyone, should be on the same level, and equal. The love, the education, the social standing, and everything around it should be the same for women and men.
