You can detonate dots with gunifen or e4 Sampo. I've seen people play bs, Kafka, Sampo etc. If another 5* came out itd be good. Especially cuz black swan can still apply alot of arcana on her normal attacks

@@kuyarence that's the point, she's a follow up synergist, just like how kafka is a dot synergist they both only gain from having more characters that do dot or follow up attack (I probably should've explained this in my first reply to avoid confusion) I wasn't comparing the idea that they were both dots or something but rather that they synergise with certain playstyles and therefore only gain from other units falling into those playstyles

Loucha's hidden talent: generate skill points for your team. Even though most of them use Huohuo, Luocha is a luxury character for me. No need to worry about skill points. In SU, Swarm & G&G, with Erudition blessings, he literally deals more dmg before my dps could finish it 😆

His talent is not that noticeable when in play. He is a comfy character in terms of eccesive healing but thats about it. He really doesnt provide that much for the team (unless you have idleons) and even with idleones if you wanna get into it Huohuo still is better than him with idlelones too

As a day 1 Herta main, I'm so glad to see her finally escape the D and C tiers. Can't thank Hoyoverse enough for adding Pure Fiction to bump her up. The only issue now is, I don't like Himeko...so I can't make her as cracked as she could be in PF until I finally break and build her.

Herta + himeko is so crazy for mobs. Just endless Fua. You should break and build her. The synergy between the two is so fun.

Bailu is great not only for healing, but her passive allows your team to tank damage that you might not typically do. It acts similarly to Fu Xuan field but only a limited number of times and it's per ult instead of skill. Obviously not having a cleanse sucks, but for opponents that burst you down like Sam or the twin aurumatons in G&G, Bailu will literally save runs.

Sam is honestly a good place where bailu thrives over someone like FX cause against sam u take so much damage from using ur skill it hurts and FX can't heal it .....I can see her classing out hou hou cause she heals at only start of the turn............but bailu is worse then loucha on every possible way.........cause loucha is literally the " TRY to die char"

One thing i love about bailu is she can bring back the downed character once per fight and replenish half health. That's hard to come by.

Watching this video, I definitely feel a bit bad about not pulling much for Huohuo. Granted, I was new to the game (joined in 1.5 update) and wasn't aware how much I'd appreciate having her later down the line. I'm definitely considering pulling for Fu Xuan over Acheron when 2.1 Part 1 Banners come out.

I also dont have a sustain except for gepard, bailu and the other 2 free four stars. And of those i only build bailu and lynx. I might want to skip acheron as well for a sustain because i really struggle with enemies who can cc me or put dots on my characters

Tectone convinced me not to pull Huohuo and I don't regret it. Her character design is not appealing to me. She's a scared girl that will never grow up. The wolf ghost is really cool though

I've built all three of the non 5 star limited healers, and with Bailu and Lynx I've still not encountered a situation where I've wanted to use Natasha. Plenty of MoC phases benefit from having cleanse, sure, but usually it's not necessary, and so far it's never been necessary for both phases. Usually I wish that I could just use Bailu on both. Her rez often functions as a kind of free heal and cleanse. Of course, what I really wish is to get one of the better healers. No idea what I was thinking skipping Huohuo.

I kind of just realized something looking at this. The nice thing about HSR is that they actually do provide some incentive to pull for some of these characters based off the different gameplay modes the devs have put in since launch. It does, unfortunately, become a case of people needing more than what you might otherwise need from Genshin, but they succeeded in giving players the incentive to build otherwise trash characters like Himeko and Herta without giving them some kind of buff, and instead, using a whole entire gameplay mode that actually becomes VERY VERY satisfying when you manage to proc one follow-up attack after another with them. I absolutely LOVE it, and hope they put one, two, maybe three more game modes in HSR, but no more than that, lest it becomes too flooded. Anyway, it really baffles me how two teams from the same company can think SO differently from one another. But in the case of Genshin, I've come to the conclusion that maybe it's really not the devs that are holding it back so much as it is mobile. Think about it -- which platform is the most cumbersome to play on? It's mobile, because the controls they have available to them are for more constrictive unless you have a controller. Not only that, but performance is often times lower than what you have on PC and Console, even to the point where they had to keep the load in Teapot on the lower end to accommodate them. So maybe the reason they have a game centered more around minigames and just garbage in general is more for the mobile crowd, especially since that's probably the largest demographic of where the casual player base are coming from.

I think you're undervalueing luocha a lil bit. He can actually also strip enemy buffs, and he is so skill points positive because u don't need to use his skill. So I think he is just a different kind of good with the other sustains

I like this tier list, I agree with almost everything you say. Only thing that stood out to me was March being in B tier. I would place her in mid to low A tier because of her Freeze ult. She has a good shield too if you build her right, and at e6 she can also be a mini healer. I say mini because it’s not that much, but it can be helpful if you keep the shield(s) up on your character(s). I’ve never used Gepard because I don’t have him, but I can see why he’s above March because of his ult, so I’d maybe move him above March in A tier too. Thanks for this video :D Will be interesting to see what else there come up with

At least he is open and honest about not knowing where to place units because he doesn't own them or hasn't had the chance to test them

But he's not unique , the others can do their job excellent, luocha can do most things but just average (his ulti with some oldbies might be not useful bc in my experience the boss buff won't be a problem when you can clean them for good), you have 4 slot , so you need some units that excellent at their job

About Lynx and Gepard, I built both and use them everyday. They are both in the same tier. Depending on the team, when you don't need cleanse Gepard is better otherwise Lynx is better. Gepard : - provide massive shield - need speed boots and an energy rope to perform well and be SP positive - if too slow compare to the rest of your team you'll run out of shield really often - really bad with characters who advance others or have multiple turns between his turns (Bronya, Sparkle, Seele, Sushang etc) shield will vanish in a blink Lynx : - really good with destruction or preservation, skill give aggro - heal is pretty low even with a good build - cleanse is on ultimate and remove only 1 debuff. Not reliable against Kafka and other enemies who land multiple debuffs. Sometimes the debuff you need to be cleansed aren't (ex: lightning DoT is cleansed instead of charm) Due to enemies and characters available now, both have major flaws even though they can perform great most of the time

Gepard is the really good at preventing one-shots IMO which is actually fairly important in MoC. Of course not as good as Fu Xuan but I'd still take him over Lynx most of the time.

I have Gepard built with a Sparkle team. She really helps in those lags between shields. Cut out a little DPS to push him up enough to proc a quick shield. Helps alot

What i love about Welt is how crazy he is paired up with Ruan Mei.. Esepcially Ruan Mei with the new Break Effect Relic.. She can gives 50% BE alone to other teammates.. And Welt with his own imprisonment from his ult & breaking, can double down on slowing the enemies.. This open up more move for other dps to do.. especially good pair with ratio since he gives both slow and imprisonment, plus if you gave silverwolf / luka lc.. with ruan mei ult..

What are people's opinions on March? I feel like she's underrated. She can cleanse, pretty decent at weakness break, and instant freeze from her ult.

Luka can also debuff target with his skill , he also lowers enemy resistance with his ult by same amount i believe as pela but single target but makes up for it with getting a enhanced basic atk , and can bleed units

Huohuo can be played SP positive, similar to Fu Xuan (EAA). You don't have to keep her stacks up to sustain the team.

Luocha is sp generator as you literally dont need to spend a single SP(remember, using 1 skill means +0 sp within 2 turn. While if we keep basic means +2 sp) to keep team alive. He also imaginary breaker, something that people doesnt really apreciated because its indeed as minor as his ult that removes all enemies buff. Personally i dont have FU so i cant say much about her, but Luocha just fill his role as sustain good enough for me to clear all content as of right now. Also im using Quid pro quo on him so yeah can get some nice juice random energy for the team. While Huohuo not as SP positive like Luocha but she has buff capability that you might love. The less you need sp in your team the better she get. And endgame i mean 0 turn people sure love her

My JYe0S1 I just use him everywhere since 1.0 and clear everything full stars I might struggle with lightning res enemies but still pulling through, of there is no lightning I just use SW. What is good about JY it's his versatility PF or MoC you can plug him everywhere. He and Blade are my most invested dpses. I like Blade for comfiness, but JY is my go to so far if I need to clear something.

I had a hard time with JY. His traces are maxed but somehow, relying on lightning lord is not comfortable for me to the point I'd rather use serval for lightning weakness. Even with the addiction of sparkle, I'd still rather run sparkle with QQ. It's just not fun for me to wait for lightning lord to do big damage. Good to know some people enjoy him, I hope I can find a way to enjoy him too lol.

Huohuo is SS with the release of Sparkle. The two of them makes really good synergy and add Tingyun makes the team SP and Energy overloaded.

I would put DOT characters on S tier assuming you run them with Kafka. If not, then A tier. The only downside with DOT characters is that they are very high investment due to them working best when there's at least 2 of them on the team (plus scaling on their traces is pretty big). BUT, that high investment usually reaps huge rewards in terms of being able to deal huge damage. Plus, unlike traditional DPS who use crit rate/dmg and ATK, DOT units only want ATK and EHR which is 1 stat less to worry about. This makes them easier in terms of farming for good relics.

even tho i some pretty good units with many or max eidolons on every good 4 star character, i fucked up really bad since release, i really regret pulling for some units and wasting so much resources on useless relics or character i don't use at all, i'm right now on my first reroll account and this time i will use the knowledge i have and the knowledge u and other guide makers have, to make this account as viable as possible ... ^^

As someone who primarily plays DoT teams and have from the beginning, I can tell this list is gonna be…..interesting.

I think Geopard is in a good spot cuz besides the shields on his ult he also has a high chance of freezing a non broken enemy. However now that we know what Aventurine can do based on his perspective quest he is clearly a much better shielder that Geopard as he has a shield readily available on his skill and his follow up attack that occurs after anyone with his shield is attacked grants additional shield after the attack triggers and he can get multiple stacks in one turn even with multi hitting AOE attacks and he also puts effect res up as well with the shield. With this Aventurine could give the team infinite shields in the right scenarios and is better at keeping the turn flow of a team in motion. Also Aventurine and Himiko work well together since Aventurine can gain more stacks for his follow up attack to trigger sooner.

You should really check out topaz. I run her in any team with decent relics and she’s slapping 40-100k per turn with numbys hits too.

In my opinion, luocha is excellent for newbie and for not fully built team(weak) or some players that don't know how to play a team with a complex healer like huohuo😅 , while huohuo is an excellent for you when you need the final form of that team , the strongest option to 0 or very few cycles , the unit that you need to maximize your damage

With the current meta, there's a lot more value in speed and clearing content in the least amount of rounds as possible. So a character like Gepard loses a lot of points since other than shielding, he doesn't provide much besides delaying an enemies turn, and in some cases it's actually preferable for enemies to not be slowed because when you get hit you at least get energy. That's what makes Fu Xuan a far better tank.

DHIL with hanya is already crushing everything for me, if I got sparkle He'll be even crazier. 🤞

I feel like while JL was the #1 DPS before sparkle's release, DHIL has taken his crown again (just for this half patch and then we get more crazy DPS) However- neither DHIL nor Jingliu should be in the SS tier. They should be high S at most. DHIL and Jingliu are not characters you should pull that open up "more teams" for you to use. With *Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Fu Xuan, and Kafka*, they can bring C and D tier units all the way up to S tier purely on their amplification alone. (Kafka is a bit of a weirder case, but her being a DOT detonator goes crazy) If you have 2 out of those 4 units, your account should be able to clear MOC and PF with a few good relics on pretty much any of the limited DPS characters, or in Kafka's case, any of the DOT characters depending on weakness. DHIL and JL are good characters, and the best DPS we have in the game currently, but neither of them are game changing in the same way those four are.

I agree with DHIL and JL both being at S. They are very good and the best DPSes but people make the gap between the limited DPSes seem bigger than it actually is. At low investment you’ll notice JL being better but at mid-high investment you’ll notice DHIL being better and other limited DPSes being just slightly worse if not equal. People just exaggerate the OPness of them when it’s the supports that make them great. Kafka is definitely a weird case though. She’s definitely required for the DoT archetype but she alone isn’t enough to make it great. You’ll want Ruan Mei and a 5 star DoT DPS(Black Swan right now but there could be others later on) to make the archetype really good otherwise it’s just meh with 4 stars in my experience(and just worse than even hypercarries with 4 star supports). You can’t use just pull Kafka and assume she’ll make DoT S tier the same way you can pull Ruan Mei or Sparkle and make a DPS S tier so while she’s definitely the cornerstone of DoT teams she isn’t on the same level as supports or even necessary to your account unless you want to play DoT teams. I’d still rank her with other DPSes tbh.

build pity on ratio and dang heng banner both got E1 of their counterparts. Parts of my mind still thinking , if i build pity on kafka and black swan banner instead i might get new brand team to play instead of just one eidoleons for existing characters but oh well, luck might not give me a W if i decide to pull otherwise anyway.

Ngl I feel like Gepard is under-appreciated. Like yeah he has no cleanse but if he's the only one getting cc'ed because of his high aggro (which gets even higher with his LC) then it doesn't really matter. Also his shields when you build him enough, can last enough for him to keep it permanently active on the team. Not to mention while yeah he only shields (and freeze if you use his skill a lot) the shield is so helpful in cases like fighting against the witch that reduces your hp by turning a portion of it to gray (like what's that gonna do if she can't even touch your hp bar because of his thick ass shield) but from my experience? I had the best time with him right now when fighting against Sam the new boss. Sam has a mechanic that reduces a person hp when they use a burning skill point. And if you use Gepard for that stage, yeah having to think about who should sacrifice their hp goes out the window cause again, even if you get like 1 hp left, his thick ass shield is enough to tank Sam's shenanigans. So yeah, Geppie definitely deserves some love

My problem with gepard is his shield duration tied to other unit's turn. I really like my DPS to be either high speed or carried by fast bronya/sparkle. The shield on my DPS is expired too fast for gepard to keep up. If only the shield is tied to gepard's turn, it will be much much better.

@@plutoadmirer9904 yup if you use fast units like Seele or Sushang, or use Supports with action advancement like Sparkle or Bronya, the shield expires very quickly, but if you use units with normal speed (like 134) the shield lasts for a long enough to time to have 100% uptime

@@Miku-Izayoi yup. But I used jingliu, or other DPS with bronya/ sparkle the most in moc so he can't keep up. The only time I use him is when I play Dr ratio that doesn't use action advancement. And he blocked me from getting Kafka, topaz, and black swan, so my opinion is biased because of my resentment lol. As e3s1 gepard haver, I despise gepard lol.

Luka skill removes buffs from enemies if you get his trace ability and adds bleed. Pela removes buff on skill and that is it. Both are great units.

As a new player who picked up dhil and sparkle I'm eating good. I put my Dr ratio artifacts on dhil and he's hitting easily more than 2x ratio.
