The Princess of Syncopation strikes again - with her voice and a fancy hat ;) Love everyone's solos a lot, and that muted trumpet is priceless!

Esteve Pi: perfect time, perfect accents, tone color, always there, high energy, drives it, never in the way, the most tasteful drum since roy haynes, art taylor, ed blackwell...Ignasi, the perfect bebop pianist the flavor of have a dozen greats who went before him, always so great to hear....

I listen to a lot of jazz and Andrea is one of the biggest talents i've ever heard. At such a young age I already prefer her over a lot of the trumpeting greats... she has it, and she honestly could become one of the greats, as in really top top tier.

I totally agree. I've watched about 250 videos of Andrea and the other rising stars from Joan's school--I just can't get enough, and, as I've posted on one of those videos, I've been a jazz fan for over 40 years. I usually pay more attention to sax players than trumpeters, but Andrea has given me a new appreciation with her remarkable talents. She also plays a PERFECT solo on "Honeysuckle Rose" at the 2017 Tokyo Jazz Festival gig. (and yes, I know she's a superb sax player, too!).

Dig the Maestro's "Stranger in Paradise" quote! Hahaha! Swinging, as always, gang! Everytime I hear you, Ms Motis, I become more impressed. You are growing out of being a great student musician into a musician who has something of her own to say. You are laying these changes out! I love your looong phrases! Bravo!

Reminds me of Anita O'Day ... that hat ! ... in "Jazz on a Summer's Day" ! Andrea's in charge here without a doubt - stylish vocal influenced by the greats of yesteryear. Band swings in the manner we have come to expect from these superb musicians.

ANDREA O’DAY!!! This is Incredible. The Great Anita O’Day is looking down from Heaven with a big smile on her face! ANITA’s Honeysuckle: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHqruNalk5mpd6g.html . ANDREA, you are an UNBELIEVABLE Trumpet & Sax player (what a Sound and God-given improvisational Genius you have on both, which blows my mind, plus the most perfect & driving Lead Alto section work ever - AND, you make it look Sooooo Easy!), but when you Sing, to me you are ANITA O’DAY II. “Honeysuckle Rose” - Anita always said it was her most requested and favorite song. GO ANDREA = ANITA II !!
