I saw Rob Riggle's name, ("Oh Rob Riggle! He's always funny. Haven't heard his comedy in a while. Let's listen to this.") --- Wow. Was not expecting the "real" conversation (like most podcasts are, just shooting-the-shit, crack a few jokes, enough to pay the rent). I really appreciate this meaningful episode. I feel like I had a deep, meaningful conversation with a close friend. I think it helps that Ryan has been through this already, so Rob knows Ryan is asking painful questions, but not out of ignorance, but out of "I've been there. The first night at the new place was a really rough night. Seeing my daughter hug another man..." Coming from someone else would not work. I remember when HoneyDew first built this studio after YMH. Ryan, you've really become a good interviewer in the time that has passed. Keep up what you're doing, man. It is working for you. Really come into your own with this podcast.

Was just listening to the podcast and had a need to write to the ether. What I love about this podcast is not just Ryan’s laugh and his caring nature, but he’s also a voice of reason. He’s not judgmental or condescending, he listens and reflects back like a fun uncle with a heart of gold. This podcast humanizes his guests and makes me care for them as a person and not just as entertainers. I only see Rob Riggle from I see on screen, always making me laugh. This podcast makes me see him as a human being and I have an appreciation for him. I have a new found respect for him, a father, a son, entertainer, a veteran. With every episode, it opens me up to a different side of not only his guests, but the resilience of trauma that we as humans endure. I love this podcast and Ryan will always have place in my heart.

Sickler, that was amazing! Found you more recently and I’m so glad I did. Love the format. It’s great seeing a stripped down version in interviewing. Don’t get me wrong, I come here for the laughs, and more importantly your laugh, but it’s great to see you pulling on some heart strings. Great getting some insight to Riggle, you can see the pain in him. Prayers his way.

Ryan’s a true sweetheart. He’s such a good dude, while having none of the “aw shucks” bullshit goin’ on. Not afraid to ask questions or show emotions… always respectful/respectable. And this is my deepest dive into Rob…. He’s also the kind of guy I’d be comfy having a cup of coffee or a beer with, and enjoy listening to or sharing some silence with.

I love Ryan bc he has such a good heart. This is my favorite podcast out there. I love listening to peoples stories and I love how Ryan encourages people to process trauma in a way that allows people to laugh and look for the good in it. As a person who has quite a story of my own, I love that. This podcast is therapeutic for so many people. I don’t usually read comments on other people’s shows but this community is different. That’s the best testimony to what Ryan is doing with these interviews. ❤❤❤

@@vitamind2387Exactly, well said. To the OP, since you're aware of what you lacked growing up, you'd provide all of the emotional and moral support for any kids you may have. You'd want them to have a better life than you did as a child, and people that experienced this tend to be better parents. 😎✌️
