I'm so thankful that finally I could find the name and the recipe of this cake. This is one of the most delicious cakes I've ever taste in life, someone in Poland used to make it specially for me. I'm from slovakia but I live in the US and I still go to Slovakia every summer and I still have never tried this but my brother loves it. I also just discovered your channel and I think its going to be my favorite one. My mom is going to love this channel since she makes many of the same foods - Klednik alebo najke kolache!! I made this cake tonnes of times. Every time it was a great hit. My family members liked it very much. All I did was reduced the amount of sugar in cake. Thnx for this wonderful recipe..😋

Hi Kristyna, I am originally from Lithuania, but I live in USA now. I love to try cuisines from all over the world and use my American husband to try them :D Recently found your channel and got interested in making czech dishes :) I make the honey cake differently (the dough is thicker so you can roll the layers/sheets and the cream is made out of the whipped cream and sour cream mix with sugar and lemon juice), but I want to make the caramel cream next time, because it is so good and reminds me of my childhood back home. Thanks for the recipe and keep it up :)

hello ,just had to let u know i love to bake and am always looking for new recipes .I came across your honey cake so i gave it a try .It turned out wonderful !! I was a little worried at first ,the batter seemed too thick wasn't sure if i messed up but each layer was perfect !! I also used the new caramel flavor sweetened condensed milk.I will definitely make this cake again !!

I fell in love with Marlenka when I tried it the first time in a coffee shop here where I live in Serbia. It is so special but strangely the shop stopped ordering it as people didn't buy it. I was surprised but actually this happens all the time to me. Whenever I find I product I really love after a short while it is no longer available. Obviously my taste differs significantly from most if my co citizans 😆 Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I fond your channel! I have made some honey cakes based on russian medovik recipes but it was not the same taste as Marlenka. I hope yours is the right Marlenka!!

I made this honey cake and I've learnt from my mistakes. eg I must not leave the pastry ovals more than 5 minutes in my oven as they will become hardened and beak. I did get some cracks on my layers but managed to hide them with the filling. It is a nice looking cake and ideal for special occasions.

Už jsem si vyzkoušela par tvých receptu jako je ovocný tač,svíčková a hovězí guláš . Můj manžel který je Američan jídla nemůže vynachválit , já samozřejmě taky, je to proste dobrota a hlavně je to přesně jako mi to chutnalo v Čechách . Hii...I tried honey cake and it was yummmmmmmm....it was very close to what I had in Dubai....And the frosting was simply to die for....my hubby couldn't get his hands off frm it....thank u so much for this recipe...I made a square shaped honey cake with 6 layers and the smell of honey was in my kitchen all day long....my son kept coming to the kitchen just to smell the aroma :d texture was really soft.. thank uuuuuuuuu:)

When you put a can of condensed milk in boiling water, this one becomes in "dulce de leche" or "manjar". In some parts of latin america we consume it a lot (i'm from Chile), in fact you can buy it ready and don't have to boil the condensed milk. By the way, i liked your recipe, maybe I'll try it some day :)
