The Hyena didn't necessarily back down, they both cautiously sized each other up and respectfully went their separate ways. If there is one animal out there who could deal with a Badger it's a Hyena and that awesome bite force that comes with it. They both come from the same family though so the toughness is mutual.

Some cultures have pretty intense initiations to enter adulthood. I think the Honey Badger takes the cake though. Your parents just abandon you, and you fend for yourself by tussling with a warthog, chasing off a giant heyena, then covering yourself in thousands of stinging bees....And that's how dinner goes. Still they don't have to worry about marriage so I guess we win.

獲物に夢中になってひっくり返ったり転げ落ちたり、動きが若干鈍臭くて可愛いな
That bird has a name.
Right off the bat it says the mother will abandon its young. Honey badgers stay with their young until the young out grow the adult which can take up to two years, just say'n...
the bird and the honey badger team work for the food is amazing.
these badgers are vicious if you piss them off but what an awesome creature ✌👍
The narrator here is the same one who did the mock-narration in the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy. It really takes me back.
Omg the bird is so cute 🤹♂️♥️
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
Honey Badger rocks! All shocks!
Wow nature is just too incredible.
this honey badger is funny, he doesn't seem to be as hard as the other ones i've seen lol

Go buy it. Don't be a freeloader
I hope you all know this was staged, from the paper bird to the friendly hyena. The only true part was the badger getting stung.

Wonderful!
Why so cute?! 😁☺️
What a difference 10 years makes, honey badgers are not abandoned by their parents while to young to understand how to hunt, but instead stay with their mothers for a significant amount of time(even for mammals).... p.s honey badgers are bmf'ers!!
it does...animals are far more honest about these things than humans
interesting video, would love to see the end
WTF did I learn today.. this is incredible..
Good !
Wow! those are killer bees!
Warthog scares honey badger 😂
The badger doesn't wanna eat the cameraman cuz he wanna send a message to the world :" I don't give a fuck!"
You see it rollin' you hatin'
Well that explains a lot. I didn't know Badger moms just ditch them as little ones. Like people who's mom abandon or abuse them they turn into a psychopath and try eat anything that moves face.
wow amazing team work between bird and honeybadger
There exists a symbiotic relationship between the Honey Badger and a "small bird?" "Fascinating, Captain," Spock would indubitably while staring down some green screen portal on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, exclaim to Kirk. T'anks for posting this, woodsteven5.
I hope that bird will be my teammate in my final project
Love it 💖
Wow how a bird help honey badger to give him honey❤️
I remember watching this too long time ago.cool.
is so mad but, is a genius :D
Lovely old documentary or the story from that guy behind this video.

There tough too!
Sounds like "Leave It To Beaver" music and voice over ...
book: "The Fallacy, Fact, and Fate of Guiding Behavior in the Greater Honeyguide"
also i didn't know bee stings make a cute little chiming noise. its a useless noise under ordinary circumstances, but comes in handy when your filming a badger getting stung! nature thinks of everything.
The guys voice sounds like someone from the 1950's
It should be written in the title that this is all fake so no confusion gets spread around. It's an old wives tale that the bird leads the Honey Badger to bee hives , there's no known footage of it ever happening unless it's on movie sets like this one with fake birds on strings lol.
Honey Badger. The Wolverine of Africa.
Didn’t I see this film when I was in the 3rd grade in 1963?
most interesting video I saw today.
Honey badger is a total gangster

its still a young one
Maybe for the hyena it was the first time it saw a badger, many animals act like this, Dogs for example.
What a funny world... Bird has a smart brain on it's head while some people got shit...
It's like a bloody disney movie dude
めっちゃかわいい…
Honeybadger acting like true addict.
Old school the best!
Honey Badgers 🦡 are the BEST.
And those are African Bees!
wow amazing team work
Badger survived a boar attack, fucking awesome
OMG! I know that bird.
So these guys are tough right out of the chute. Their parents abandon them early.
