Will Smith is a good/great sometimes actor, but I don't think it'd turn out as well with him in it. Keanu's still emotionless mannerisms added to the seriousness, sadness, shock of that world.

Yeah, Smith himself admitted this. Reeves was perfect for the role, with Will Smith the movie would have an entirely different vibe.

I don't know about that. Keanu's career has resurged several times. (Remember _Speed?)_ If the Matrix hadn't come along, something else would have. One thing that's been constant about his career is how much everyone wants to work with him. That plus his lifelong love of action movies meant he would have ended up almost purely an action star no matter which movie put him in that position.

I don't see why it gets so much hate.
The "damsel out of dis dress" joke is actually from the lyrics to the theme song.
Admit it: this'll be a HUGE cult classic one day.
I watched it for the first time recently. I can see why it wasn't everybody's cup of tea (had a lot of the same grotesque humour and Sci-fi gadgets as MIB that felt out of place in a western), but I enjoyed it! It was a *breast* of fresh air!
What is Love?! An Honest Movie Trailer for Night at the Roxbury is what!
Just watched this the other day on my birthday. Hadn't seen it in its entirety in many many many years.
Let's get a From Dusk Til Dawn honest trailer
Yea... I’ve always loved this movie. Idk if it just holds a special place in my heart from when I was a kid or what but only recently figured out people hated it 🤣🤣🤣

The problem for me was that I grew up watching the tv show, so the movie was ok, and I will never watch it again.

Yeah, I feel like it's one of those things that people like to shit on for no reason now. Most people had no fucking clue what steampunk was until this movie
How nice of you to join us tonight and add colour to these monochromatic proceedings.

Yeah, the Will Smith movie formula was an awesome insight (matched with older white man): Wild Wild West, MIB, Independence Day. I like how they made us wait to think about it.
In time for the 20th anniversary. Same summer we got The Mummy. We got this one. And Inspector Gadget.

Me too... although I bet more people actually walked out of South Park. I remember there were a couple of adults that walked out but there were 2-3 people that had obviously been tricked into going by their kids and it was pretty funny how quick they were dragging the kids out of there. Love you South Park!!!!!
