I know, I just remembered it and it was EVERYTHING for a month, and EVERYONE said it would be Halloween costumes for all and barely anybody did it. WE ALL FORGOT... and I watched it twice (she says embarrassed 😖😩) it was ALL people and celebs and interviews were about and now... now nobody even knows if he's still in jail or got a new court case going... what's up with our new era attention span?! We're broken. Too much isolation, too much pandemic equals to too much social media. What happened ed is tik tok (don't even have it but watch loads on Insta reels... that's the new world addiction! @@mariesabine2385 no it wouldnt. In germany they called the show "Raubkatzen und ihre Raubtiere" which translates to "big cats and their predators" and nobody actually did get it and knew what to expect from the show until it was renamed.

“Broken people hurting each other and their animals” should really be put in the description of the show. Because thats all you need to know about Tiger King in 8 words.

Beyonce's kind of oblivious when it comes to big cats being exploited for photos. She went to at least one of those tiger petting places in Thailand (Tiger Temple? Tiger Kingdom?) which is basically tigers being bred like a puppy mill being petted by tourists, then disappearing when they get too big and winding up in pieces on the black market for traditional medicine.

I cannot believe that you passed on the fact that that woman's whole wardrobe is basically just cat costumes...

It’s not presented like a comedy...? I mean here it is in the honest trailer but not in the show. And anyways. Yeah, bad lives like this exist - but they’re not a reflection of what the world is like. The reason they’re sensational is because they’re the extreme exception. Your associating them with everything that is “sad” and “wrong” is more like your depression talking than what the truth is. Which isn’t a criticism, because every human goes through depressive swings often throughout the period of our lives (our brains are designed to do this) - but don’t make the mistake of thinking that’s a reflection of the real world. You’ve got to put your perception into context because if you don’t, you’ll end up like one of the poor fools Joe Exotic enlisted in his tiger cult.

I don’t care how much of an addict you are (and, I’m sorry, marijuana isn’t that addictive of a drug), there’s only so much you can blame on a drug or your desire to get it. @Aaron M Really? When did he tell you that? The documentary clearly made it out that Joe was supplying, not forcing. PLUS, marijuana might make you feel happy or sleepy (depending on strain), but it’s not going to alter your state of consciousness to the point where you’re doing things that you would never do sober. We’re not talking about one night here, this went on for years. If someone is high enough to be doing something out of character 24/7 for years, they’re not going to be able to function. He wasn’t spending his days cloistered in his bedroom or holed up in a basement. I’m not saying he wasn’t manipulated or taken advantage of, I’m just saying the argument doesn’t fit. If we were talking about him using heroin (which can’t be done recreationally) and him acting like a completely different person, that might have merit.

I am actually afraid of watching because I don't want to see animals being murdered... it triggers my anxiety... does that happen i this show? I couldn't even watch the trailer.

I think the main point should be that these places only exist because they make money from the people going to see them. Stop posing and taking photos with baby tigers/lions and encourage stricter laws that forbid private ownership of exotic animals.

Though this is bizarre and insane and I get how people can find that entertaining, I truly TRULY hope that this will make it very clear how much we need stricter laws about exotic animal purchasing and owning

One can only hope that the grand finale to this show will be all the cool cats & kittens & other exotic animals are freed at last & devour every single human.

I'm shocked at how stupid people are - they completely missed the point that Joe Exotic is actually the villain, not the hero of this story. People hate on Carole but the real villain is Joe, who abuses the animals and is clearly using people's addictions to exploit them. Everyone is horrible on this show, but the worst person is the director and producer who knowingly left out content that especially shows Joe in a bad light - like he's overtly racist, admits to killing animals for no reason other than they get too old to play with people.

hes in prison, i dont think prisoners get to watch Netflix, so he probably doesn't realize (and hopefully will never realize) his newfound fame. unless some guards watch it and act like he's a celebrity, which I hope doesn't happen. He always wanted fame, he should never get it and realize it.

The show kinds just ignores the cat ishue. It's a prop, that doesn't make the show bad, it's a show about Joe, but animal abuse is almost a plot point. Which is fine I guess but still left me wondering if tigers have a dark future

Honest Trailer did great with this. Only a bit bothered they mentioned Joe’s racism for 3 seconds and didn’t show the clip of him using racist language

I like how this show was so huge and then people quickly stopped talking about it when 2020 proved to be even crazier

I will say that Big Cat Rescue is an AMAZING nonprofit that rescues exotic "pets" and rehabilitates them in enclosures. They aren't treated like pets, but like the wild animals they are with minimal human contact.

From "Cats" honest trailer to "Tiger King" honest trailer is just natural evolution.

You know it’s a problem when the former drug king pin is the most relatable, decent person in the whole docuseries.

seriously, you can't make this stuff up...I was blown by the time I got to episode 2 and I'm like...HOW CAN THIS GET ANY MORE BIZARRE? ...and then it did! on a side note, when you said Phantom of the Opera, I was so happy! One of the best musicals and to have that said in your epic voice is just awesome!
