I've not really seen her in anything else, is she in Game of Thrones? I've never watched that, so I don't know. Anyway, from what I heard, she was glad Genisys wasn't a big success, because if it had been, she might have been stuck doing sequels for a while. Maybe her heart was never in the role to begin with? Agreed on this version of John Connor, by the way. If he'd been badass, maybe I'd have taken his attempt at villainy more seriously.

the whole cast were bad including Clarke whom I actually rate as an actor but yes he was a terrible choice for John Connor. I also hated the way Arnold's Terminator has become increasingly comedic in T3 and Genishyt. If you feel the necessity for a Robot character to be the comic relief you obviously have no knowledge or respect for the first 2 movies

I know I'm replying to a 4 year old comment, but they literally did this joke way back in T3. It ended up being a deleted scene, which they pulled out at the last second for being too silly. The terminator is based on Sgt Candy - played by Arnold. Should be easy to find.

hey of the 4 failed sequels its definitely the best one. Also the only one of the 4 failed sequels that somewhat wants you to find out what happens next because unlike the endings of the other 3, it leaves the future unwritten and unknown (whereas we know exactly what will happen in the others)

The two first Terminator movies, the ones made by Cameron the Great himself, are the only canonical movies (in my head canon). They tell a complete story in themselves. The other movies are just fan fiction by other directors and writers. Enjoy whatever good there is, and never mind the rest. It's all apocryphal anyway!

Exactly, the emphasis wasn't about time travel, it was about what it meant to be human and how knowledge of the impending Armageddon affected the human characters, Sarah found her Inner Strength, the Terminator found its humanity, and John discovered his destiny, and with that Hollywood should have just left well alone.

Okay one, I liked Terminator 3. ( I know: Gasp! Shocker, shocker) and two, Genesys wasn't that bad. Yeah the trailer gave away what could've been a cool twist and ultimately ruins the movie because of it, but it felt like a Terminator movie to me. Way more than the last one, what was it, Salvation. Which was just a jerk off post-apocalyptic B movie.

I will never get over the fact that people think that it is a compliment and some sort of flex that they watch joke videos about a movie to “decide if watching the film is worth it” My guess is at this point you have literally zero independent thoughts of your own…

How is Arnold's accent still so thick when he's spent most of his adult life in America... it's like he's not even trying.🤨

I actually think T3 gets a bad rep. It ended well(on the depressing note too cause they lost) and was a solid action flick. HATED Salvation, couldn't believe I was bored in a Terminator movie, and hated this one too, except Schwarzenegger.

+Samuel Shin The biggest mistake T3 made was breaking the tone established by the previous movies by treating the series as a sought of parody. Misplaced comedy and a lack of emotional resonance made that film very disappointing. I don't think it's that bad though.

I couldn't get through T3, but I was genuinely surprised by how watchable Salvation after hearing how "terrible" it was (or maybe it was because of everything I heard about it lowered by expectations). Don't get me wrong- I still thought Salvation was a bad movie. But I think it mostly suffered from a bad script, because I thought the acting was mostly good (I too thought the kid playing Kyle Reese was perfectly cast), the action was entertaining, and I really appreciated that it tried to something different from every other Terminator movie. But it's flaws (mostly the plot) dragged it down. Overall, I didn't hate watching it (unlike T3), but I don't think I'll be checking it out again any time soon.

I actually really enjoyed this movie. I liked that it repeated a lot of things from the original or slightly altered them. I liked that everything can change now. The trailer with John Conner as a terminator was a huge spoiler, but most of the people I knew weren't excited to see it until that trailer came out, so they got us in the theater. I liked it.

+Charlie „Minicliff13“ Clifton-Brown It was so weird when I saw the movie and he was just standing among the soldiers when I soppted him. I was thinking "wait, they cast Matt Smith as random Extra #12"? Well, I was not entirely wrong.... *sigh*

In terms of time travel nothing beats Fry in futurama becoming his own grandfather

This movie also wasted Matt Smith. One of my favorite Time Lord Doctors, and he's basically just a vessel so John Connor can get Robo-AIDS.

Yeah. Genisys was addressing the multiple timelines and alternate timelines. No one got it. The John Sarah and Kyle here are not the same ones as T1 and T2

+kbsmithy GAMING! that's a very cool analogy, they should do movies about john Connor rise as the leader of men against the machines, not putting him as a mythical figure or anything and "if he die humanity is lost" as honestly nobody knows who the heck is John Connor, maybe not even himself ether by having a head trauma that made him lost his past memories or because in his tme line he was never chase as a boy by a terminator. and to do things more interesting, never call him "john Connor" in the group of marines or rebel group he is in; Maybe use a military nick name to refer to him like "Baby, Easy, Max" toward all the movie, and make it like a survival horror movie but instead of zombies or a assasin murder the bad guys are all machines... and don't know maybe at the end of the movie we all hint the one that made possible the group survival and demise of the machines was in fact John Connor. oh wait! think that was a game i once see...

I don´t get the incest-joke at the end. He sends his DAD back to the past, not himself, to have sex with his mom. How is that incest? Even the "Back to the Future" Scene is not incest, because Marty just wanted to molest Lorraine so George can be the strong guy and knock him out.

+C.Funk99 That is a matter of opinion about Phantom Menace. I feel it's major failing is the same as the failing of the latest Star Treks; an identity crisis. The more recent Star Wars felt like they were trying to being Star Trek, explaining things and throwing science at you. Star Trek just went the dumb pew pew rout while giving you a cookie cutter version of some Joseph Campbell concept (which is why they felt exactly like Star Wars).

What's with the hate of Salvation? Time travel was done 3 times before - why not showing the actual war between man and machine? (Also the A-10s are cool ^^ )

Just watched this movie after seeing Dark Fate. Genisys is rather generic and is nowhere near as good as T1 and T2 of course but this movie is still fun and you can tell the actors at least had fun. Dark Fate is totally joyless in comparison and I would rather watch this again than that

Genesys wasn't even bad. Better than 3 and Salvation

Sending his dad back in time to have sex with his mom isn't incest. Also, the closed loop assumption just doesn't work well for Terminator. One assumes that the original hero was a different John Connor. Plus, with all the sperm competition, unless you had sex at the exact same time in the exact same way, you'd probably end up with some other embryo.

pretty sure mom and dad having sex is not an incest! Hahaha

This one is my favourite of the Terminators, but maybe I'm just too young and I'm fond of alternative timelines.

vs 70s bodybuilder Arnold was awesome. Arnold vs Arnyoung. The CGI was spot on. Gonna see Gemini Man soon enough. Very cool. Maybe they'll do it for George Clooney so he can stop making old jokes about himself
