DIED AT THE AGE OF A HUNDRED AND THREE!' and he's- 'OHHHHH YO HO HO AND A BOTTLE O' RUM' and he's- '(incomprehensible drunken singing)' AND HE'S DEAD. 'AAAAH!'" This part killed me.

Jaws is one of the finest examples of how music makes the movie. It's hard to find a great movie with a poor musical score

My dad let my brother and me see it in theaters by ourselves when I was 9 and my brother was 7. The next week we went to California for a beach vacation. I didn't let even an inch pig sea water touch me. Good thinking dad.

Why did they?

Jaws and nemo are the perfect example of how movies can almost make fish extinct whether you fear them or love them.

Terrific. I remember how everyone was nervous to go swimming in the ocean after Jaws came out. Seriously, everyone had shark on the brain. I was even nervous in the pool. Ha!

It was awesome seeing Jaws in the theatre for it's 40th anniversary, because when it was first released in the summer of 1975, I was in the maternity ward of a hospital, didn't get to see it.

2:10 - that's not a shanty, it's a inscription on a woman's gravestone in a cemetery in Robert Shaw's hometown in Ireland, useless trivia but that won me a free pint at a pub quiz lol

The true story the book was based upon was incredibly sad. In 1916 a shark swam 30 miles inland up a river in Jersey, killed a young boy swimming in the creek and a young teacher who went in to rescue him. It also killed 3 other people along the Jersey shore. BTW, the bluray rerelease of Jaws is superb!

"Thank God that didn't work, anymore of that thing would have made Jaws 1 look like Jaws 4!" Damn I was laughing so hard there was almost 45 seconds of me laughing without making any noise

The "and he's all out of sea shanties" is one of best bits ever.

I remember watching this movie at the theater. When the head rolls out of the hole in the boat, popcorn flew 10 feet in the air

I grew up with this movie. My parents let me see it at entirely too young of an age. I still love it to this day. But since I joined the Navy all I can see is the horrible seamanship. Nice that they included one of the shooting stars but there were two in the same scene.

What What I know, and I liked it, but I still think they could have said more.

My dad served two tours in Vietnam (1968-1970) He saw the movie Jaws at a drive through... and he could barely use a swimming pool or toilet (yes, he was terrified by a toilet.) Thank you "Jaws".

Favourite scene in Jaws is when Hooper & Quint are comparing scars. On the last one you find out Quint served on USS Indianapolis and last scar is tattoo he had removed.

I saw it the first day it came out in the theaters (I was in high school). Loved it so much I went back every night for about a week...it was real funny to sit in the back & wait for the jump scares, watch all the heads in front of me go "BOING!" But seriously, what a movie! Tho years later when I went to grad school in Marine Biology, I couldn't get the damn movie out of my head when I was up to my neck in the Intracoastal Waterway. I got to meet Richard Dreyfus once, and he was such a great, nice, down-to-earth person. But apparently he & Robert Shaw (who was drunk all the time) absolutely couldn't stand each other.

3:32 - reminded me why I've never watched this film since the first time I saw it. I saw it as a small child and cried for hours.

Fun Jaws fact: a lot of the underwater shark footage was filmed by the guy who invented shark cages, who also happens to be the victim of the most brutal shark attack up to 1963. He invented the shark cage after he was attacked and became a world expert on shark behaviour.

This must be one of the most possitive honest trailers ever

The book was not set on the jersey shore. It was set on Long Island between East Hamptons and Bridgehampton. They literally say it in the novel why the shark wasn't attacking beaches at those two places but it was attacking in between them at Amity. I also wish they didn't change Ellen Brody and Matthew Hooper so much. Their characters being bad people in the book was one of the central subplots to the entire novel.

Sharks kill 10 people every year. Humans kill 100 million sharks every year. We're the monsters.

The Wilfred Probably not

This scared me more than all the other stuff I was too young to watch back then like the nightmare on elm streets and Friday the 13ths. The Howling did kinda freak me out too.

One of the best films ever made.

Honest Trailers just isn't as good as it used to be. It seems like they don't even put as much heart into their vids anymore. I know I can't be the only one who notices this?

+Jay Sherard The music. The tension. Never seeing your attacker. The Ben Gardener jumpscare. This is definitely horror.

"The part that made you poop your pants." Yep.

"I need to have something in the foreground to give it some scale." That made me laugh so freaking hard.

I'd pay to see Jaws VS Jersey Shore, especially if it ends with the shark winning.

Please say "I did not fart on the couch, I farted on the cake."

More than anyone of us care to know. I'm wondering who reads these books and decides, "Ya know, yeah, we can make a movie out of this."

Fun quasi-related Jaws story - My dad and his friends were driving around after dinner when my dad started to feel sick. He leaned out the window and started vomiting right as they were crawling past a movie theater (which of course was screening Jaws at the time). His best friend leans out the other window, points to my dad vomiting and shouts at the top of his lungs to the people in line, "SEE JAWS! SEE JAWS!"

How about one for the pretty much forgotten Spielberg comedy 1941?

Jaws is among my top three favorite movies. It was brilliant, the casting incredible. That said, this "trailer" is HILARIOUS. (FYI, if you've not read the book, you should)

"Jaws" is my favorite movie of all time. It's also one of the rare movies that is better than the book that inspired it.

Fun fact: the quote: 'you're gonna need a bigger boat' was an ad-lib that originated from the cast and crew complaining about the producers using such a small boat for filming.

Say, "You have the Charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low grade bank clerk."
