    I liked it when Shuri declared her A.I. follows her instructions when she's already yelled at it twice for not following instructions and immediately after yells at it for not following instructions. Even Okoye yells at it for not doing what its told. No wonder these things go crazy

    There was a lot that frustrated me about this movie, but i can at least give them props for not forgetting Killmonger, and more importantly their surprisingly respectful tribute to Chadwick Boseman

    That cry montage made me so sad about Chadwick Boseman all over again. When the movie showed the silent Marvel logo with just him in various scenes from his movies, I cried. And on a lighter note, "Agua Man" got me good lol

    I was tearing up when they showed the Marvel opening with the comic pages and it was all scenes of Chadwick and the scene was silent. Very well done to honor him. CHADWICK FOREVER

    Yeah, it was a bit weird how Shuri shrugged off the possibility of a rogue AI trying to wipe out humanity, when they live in a world where that literally happened. I guess when the purple alien killed half the universe with magic stones, people kind of forgot about the swarm of robots that lifted a country off the ground and tried to drop it on everyone.

    4:20 It's important point which seems that the Writers (and most Viewers) forgot, T'challa was among the people who were dusted for five years after Infinity War so the leaders of Wakanda must have had some experience managing the nation without him by now !?

    Yep, those were fun. Also, maybe it's the "two attractive people having a lot of screen time", but I thought they were hinting at some sexual tension, or at least the possibility of it. At the same time, it was so low-key that it didn't get in the way of the character and plot development.

    @@Asciel Not sure, but she is supposed to be a super genius so I'd have thought she'd be aware of the dangers of AI and why. Not to mention her brother was involved with the events of Civil War, which was a direct result of AoU and the Sokovia Accords, you'd think she would be well educated on the geopolitical landscape and incidents that led to the death of her father and why it is her mother became the reigning monarch.

    Shuri was entertaining (enough) in previous movies but in this one she was sort of the focal point of the movie (or at least was supposed to be) and I'd be lying if I say the actress' acting didn't improve for this one.

    Angela Basset did an amazing job. She portrayed such a legend of a politician who was willing and able to be the Queen, and showed she was grandma getting older and tired of having to hold everyone else up while handling her own grief.

    Actually something did happen to his people and he explains it latter on the movie. The metaphor is quite simple, the land was plundered for it resources and given the chance the colonizers would do it again. Namor stroke preemptively.

Making powerful enemies who would not be a threat to you because they don’t want you killing someone you don’t need to kill because she’s already in your custody is astronomically stupid.     @@thiagoanbonfim except it happened centuries ago didn't it? At the very least colonizing is not generally looked upon favorably these days and thus is more difficult to do. It'd be like all the European countries deciding they can't work together at all because they spent centuries in various wars with each other in the middle ages, clinging to events from so long ago shouldn't determine foreign policy.

    I had a feeling that an Avatar: Way of Water comparison was on its way, but I never realized *just* how similar their sequel stories were outside of "underwater photography shots that will immensely immerse you," then you subverted expectation but admitting that a choice between the two isn't actually that easy. 😆💙🎥 Oh, but that cry face sequence though...thanks for reminding of how much incredible emotion was put out by this cast. 😅

    I did love Ironheart's armor. It looked like some anime gundum gunsuit design. Like she was going to get her own crew of different colored mech warriors to go do crime fighting.

    I was surprised how clean it was, the only thing that threw me off was the post credit scene because they did spit on the meaning of a loss they portrayed well in the first part of the movie, which is a full stop, not an "anyway we still throw in a happy for ever after". They even just show one scene of woke culture in the whole movie with the lesbians at the end, if they only could have spared us the post credit and the iron man knock off, that would have been one of the best marvel movies to me...

    That scene where Okoye stabs her spear through the back seat of the Challenger to make the ramp completely glosses over the fact that SHE ALSO STABBED IT THROUGH THE GAS TANK. So it was covered in leaking gasoline and was sparking against the pavement.

I mean with hypocrite Scarlet Witch, secondary in his own movie strange, emasculated hulk, sheboss-hulk, discount black widow, female hawkeye, black female iron man, black captain america, female thor, female loki, phakistani ms marvel, there is nothing even remotely new or interesting coming out of Phase 4. Also, getting probably more Spiderman movies, especially with Garfield are the best thing coming out of Phase 4.

    @@jeringatai3156 idk what your point is, but the creator of Namor Bill Everett has actual stated that's how he came up with the name. "Everett stated that the inspiration for creating the character was Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (1798), and came up with "Namor" by writing down noble-sounding names backwards and thought Roman / Namor looked the best." -Wikipedia. The name also canonically means avenging son in Atlantean in the comics.

    I think the Shuri and Tony comparison is pretty apt. Both are arrogant, wealthy, genius, and think their inventions can fix everything. Also like the last line points out Shuri is so arrogant that even after Tony nearly caused an AI doomsday she thinks it couldn’t be caused by her at all. Tony would def think the same if it happened to someone else first

    I'm gonna like, because of your getting the comparison. However Tony did not create Ultron, Ultron already existed in the mind stone. Tony attempted to contain him with paranoid levels of restriction and security, but just couldn't account for magical hacking. I know that Marvel themselves make the same claim, but unless Tony hopped in a Time Machine and shot off into Space to collect..Oh wait he did, but even then we never see him upload any AI to the mind stone.

However it was established earlier in the movie that Ultron was already a project in the making, so I think the implication was that Tony simply used the mind stone to power Ultron, and that's how it gained sentience.

    I think it's probably because these days, producers are keeping up with the social media responses. Either way, I'm just glad that they were wise / respectful enough not to use a deep-fake just because they could. It's weird how much you can mourn a person you never met, but dang it, Chadwick Bosman dying that young, with so much potential up ahead, just hurts.

    When Shuri chose to spare Namor, they should’ve clipped in the scene from Civil War when Chadwick says “Vengeance has consumed you. It’s consuming them. I’m done letting it consume me.” And Shuri says it with him in unison. Would’ve been perfect.

    R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman. He managed to put out one last character before his passing that will immortalize him in the eyes, minds and hearts of fans for generations to come. There have been multiple versions of Black Panther in media outside of the comics over decades, of course (cartoons, video games, etc.), but he really put in the effort to make the role his own. I'd be lying if I said that I think T'Challa was the best acting performance of his entire career. But it's definitely the role for which he'll likely be most remembered for the foreseeable future. After all, on top of being the first nearly all black casted blockbuster superhero film's main lead, he was the first ever to bring this long beloved superhero to life in live-action on the big screen.

    @@Burlymon the nickname for lean is purple drank or dirty sprite. There is a literal purple (grape) sprite that the Coca-Cola mixer machines can produce for customers. Trust me, it makes a difference if you're asking around undercover DEA agents.
