Tim Burton's two Batman movies are fabulous. I love Nolan's take but without this movie we never would have had the animated show looking and sounding how it did and it was also the real starting point of Danny Elfman's career.

By changing the costume to jet black, Tim Burton revolutionized things... Most of the people bashing this film are in their late teens and early 20's... Because anybody that was a kid when this came out, remembers how epic & original it truly was...

I was 11 when Batman was released, and it was glorious.

Jack Nicholson's "friend" is Tracey Walter who was amazing in Repo Man and Conan the Destroyer, then was also in a lot of bit parts after that, most notably City Slickers and Silence of the Lambs. I've been a fan of his since I was a kid in the 80s. To me, he's the original "that guy."

Man! Adam West was great! It was supposed to be campy & it worked!

Yes, the TV series was mature to acknowledge the intrinsic silliness of comic books and have some fun with that, being witty rather than simply witless like the Schumacher films.

My favourite Batman of all times, followed by The Dark Knight. Kim Basinger would had made awesome horror movie actress with the screaming abilitys!

One thing I really appreciated in this Batman was when he asks Vicki what her weight is before he uses his grapple gun. Then when she lied the grapple gun wasn't able to carry both of them out of harms way. It just lent a bit of realism to the gadgets that he uses... They are physical and have limitations. Unlike in Nolan's films where the gadgets were flawless and worked all the time no matter what kind of stress they were under.
