One of the things I really like about this film is that Max is all worried and trying so hard to get with Roxanne, but if you look how she interacts with him and whatnot, she already likes him. It's a lot more realistic.

Jason has the perfect voice for Max. You can hear Max in his voice at times. He's also the voice of Thackery Binx in Hocus Pocus & Kovu in Lion King 2.

I2I (or Eye-to-Eye) has to be one of the disney best songs ever, and totally underrated . Edit: I had no idea it was spelled I2I LOL

I doubt after all that she would break up with him and if he likes her that much I don't see him breaking it off. They should have added her to the movie. They could even have a distance relationship and talk over the phone or computer. He calls her to talk about his dad problems and Goofys new love interest. She convinces him to talk out his problems with his dad. I blame the Xgames for high jacking the plot.

They didn't even mention the most disturbing scene that implies Pete is abusive to his son. Goofy: "You know, maybe Max isn't all the things you think a son should be, but he loves me." Pete: "Hey, *my* son *respects* me." That line is still incredibly dark and umcomfortable.

This movie is so timeless because... Max is given the perfect amount of screen time for kids to think it's about a teenager boy trying to enjoy his summer But Goofy is given the perfect amount of screen time for adults to think it's about a father trying to connect with his son, who he realizes is on the verge of growing up and starting to have his own life. Honestly one of Disney's best.

Do "The Land Before Time". The first one, not the 20000 that came after.

Excuse me. We start every road trip with "On the Open Road", its a bona-fide classic!

It’s honestly amazing how Goofy’s voice actor can be serious and held a really real conversation with Pete at that motel jacuzzi. And that real line during that car water rapids. “I have my own life now, dad!” “I know son, I just want to be a part in it!” (I’m not sure if I quoted that right, I’m basing it on memory but it did happen)

I can totally Relate with Max on the "Hyuck" thing. My mom always snorts when she laughs, now when I catch myself doing it I want to crawl in a hole and pull it in after me.

I love the fact that he outs her on a pedestal, but she jumps off of it to get to him.

Could someone explain how "I'm ditching our date to see a concert" is a better excuse than "My dad is forcing me to go on some dumb trip, I would much rather go with you." Was 90's disney writer requires to shoehorn a lie into every story?

i think it makes his character more realistic. he was embarrassed to be going on this trip and he panicked and said the concert. he knew roxanne liked powerline so he thought saying he was going to the concert would make him seem a lot cooler to her than going on some weird fishing trip

Max actually tried telling the truth at first, but Roxanne (in typical girl fashion) wasn’t listening, thought he was making up excuses to cancel the date and told him she was going to find someone else to go with, that’s when he panicked and lied.

I don't know if I overstate...but I'll say it anyway; A Goofy Movie is a more useful and uplifting lesson in fatherhood than the Gillette's The Best A Man Can Get commercial.

I love that amidst the animated love interests was Lola Bunny, Gadget, and friggin’ Goliath.

Max: "I've grown up, I've got my own life now." Goofy: "I know that! I just wanted to be part of it." . . T_T

Jason Marsden is actually a really good singer. I'm left to assume that he wasn't able to sing consistently in Max's voice at the time.

This just made me wanna watch the movie again. *Mad Max: Furry Road Trip*
