*Edit: This comment is ridiculously old, I’m genuinely surprised it’s still getting likes and replies.* Do Cars sweat? Do Cars cry? Do Cars get diseases? Real-life cars didn’t exist until about 1885, so how can there be Cars who existed over 133 years ago? Why couldn’t Lightning McQueen just get a new engine or something in order to defeat Jackson Storm in Cars 3? The Pixar theory states that the Cars movies take place in the distant future, but in Cars 2, there was a car version of Queen Elizabeth and Prince William, so how can that be? If the Cars series DOES take place in the far future, why is everything in perfect condition? I have so many questions about these movies that will never be answered.

And that Stanley founded Radiator Springs in *1919* and Doc won Piston Cups in *1951, 1952, 1953.* So it can't take place in the future if it has existing years from the past and at a time when cars existed. The only explanation is that these movies simply takes place in an alternate universe. But i still wonder, if the first car was made in 1885, what would the cars world be like before 1885?

I love how in The Starring section, they called everyone Cars and stopped.

Cars can't be immortal, because in the first movie they have the monument of Stanley, who I assume is dead. Also in Cars 2, they make it as if Doc has died since the first film. But Lizzie is a Model T, so she's been around for like a hundred years, so how long can the Cars live?

I hate it when people don't give the original "Cars" the credit it deserves..... The whole point of the movie is that Lightning learns to become humble, and when he has the chance to win, he helps the King finish the race. I love that part and will always love the original. (I think of Cars 2 as an unfortunate spinoff and think that Cars 3 is a return to the source material.)

the first one is just a basic redemption story with cars instead of people so merchandise can be sold better

Cars was one of my favorite movies of all time. It was a big part of my childhood.

I actually really enjoyed Planes. It was a well worn, rote, tired, predictable story, that was nevertheless, executed flawlessly.

+Brian Williams Totally agreed. I think they realized Cars 2 was an unfunny and awkward dumpster fire, and got it back on track. At this point I'd watch a Cars 4 or Cruz Ramirez spinoff though :)

It becomes a lot more watchable if you view it as a parody of a Bond film. Still not great, but watchable.

WatCH _DoGes they are functionally the same thing. If they invented it, it would be life insurance. If humans invented it before they took over it would be car insurance

No, Larry the Cable Guy is literally just a dude acting like Larry the Cable Guy. He's a character. The comedian who does that bit isn't southern. He's from Nebraska. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_the_Cable_Guy
