Tbh she may have teared up but not cried, there's a difference. But it doesn't matter. Everyone can see the emotions in her expression and hear it in her voice (like the person before me said)

@@redfuentes1065 yeah that one long ad-lib that progressively got deeper while the other members were harmonising the na's at the end is one of the moments that ALWAYS makes me cry, the whole performance always makes me bawl but that particular ad-lib you can really feel the pain in her voice while also being incredibly beautiful. This performance is just so heartbreaking but so beautiful.

You can notice Taeyeon mostly closed her eyes throughout the performance, while her tears silently fell. Taeyeon's been through so much that she no longer allows herself to cry. Despite being the victim of unreasonable hate and harassment during that time, even until now, she still has to be strong for her members and for the whole group as a leader. Taeyeon used to be quite vulnerable and cry often, but now after all those negative things happened around her and to her that she is absolutely not deserved, she just put herself in that "strong" mode. they finally made it to their dream stage ever since they started as trainee, Tokyo Dome... and Jessica wasn't with them. At the beginning... they even left a space in the middle of the stage. The words of this song rang ever more true knowing that they must step forward without her. Taeyeon did cry, but she rarely ever wept out loud. She had said before that as a leader, she feels the burden of having to be strong for her members. It leads to her keeping a lot of struggles to herself and eventually led to her depression. Slowly as the girls grow more mature and learn to deal with their mental health... Taeyeon has slowly opened up and the other girls has stepped up to take more responsibilities among themselves to help Taeyeon.

Taeyeon keep her voice stable while singing. She is the leader and the main vocalist at the same time. She should be the strongest even though she wasn't. What I noticed from this performance is she is never open her eyes while singing. She kept her focus, her voice and close her eyes everytime she had to sing. She couldn't cry cause she knows other members could.

This is one of reason why i respect taeyeon so much (tiffany too). She did exact same thing during the horrible black ocean in dream concert performance. At that time each members start crying (seobaby the first to break down which understandable since she is the youngest and barely what 14 when black ocean happen). Yoona and jessica also cry but taeyeon hv her eyes close most of time concentrate on carry the performance while tiffany even tho she did cry, she keep urge member and keep positive (despite her voice sound nousil). Taeyeon seriously so strong everytime member break down during performance (few time during complete concert performance) she will close her eyes n concentrate on singing carrying the group with her vocal.

if I'm not mistaken, this is their first performance of this song just after Jessica's departure from the group. so it really was emotional for some of the girls, primarily Sunny and Seohyun. Also, this concert happened in Tokyo Dome, Girls' Generation was actually the first Non-Japanese Act to perform there, and in their last concert while they were still 9, they wished to perform in Tokyo Dome together, but unfortunately, it didn't happen (performing as 9 members) so some speculate and believe that this is their most emotional performance of the song. Jessica was removed from the group months before they get to perform in Tokyo Dome.

love the girls, but kara(2013) are actually the first korean girl group to hold a concert there and tvxq (2009) are actually the first kpop group ever to do it.

Nope actually their first performance for this song was at China in 2014. I guess for a fan meeting. The day after Jessica was departure, A China fan was shouting J name and also bring a Jessica lightstick at the fan meeting.

It is without a doubt one of the most moving performances in kpop, my eyes fill with tears seeing Sunny crying, Taeyeon and Tiffany singing those high notes with all their soul. They all did an amazing job, as expected, Girls Generation.

for me taeyeon is best girl group leader to ever exist. even tho she was emotional as well just like the other girls she was hela strong, adding adlibs, belting high notes while everyone else was tearing up. she's literally standing behind her girls and let them know don't worry I've got this... we've got this... I'm here for u all! I CRY EVERY SINGLE TIME I WATCH THIS PERFORMANCE.

Taeyeon looked so emotional as well but she needed to sing a lot of main parts and high notes so she had no freedom to cry as loud as the other members. Soshi were crying not only because of the song itself but they've been through so much before that Tokyo Dome concert.

I heard this performance at a live venue. This performance was very tense at the end of the song. The audience at the venue was overwhelmed and some even cried. As the reason member of Girls' Generation were crying , (1) This song was a debut song that they loved so much (2) The arrangement of this song was majestic (3) That this live was the culmination of the past and they wanted to perform at the Tokyo Dome (4) Jessica left just before and they struggled and hurriedly reorganized their formation into an eight-man system (5) They sensed Jessica's greatness and absence. Especially Sunny has failed at important part in previous ’Not Alone' Jessica sung. I felt like that at that time. This is the greatest performance in music history !!!!!!!!!

This was the first concert without Jessica and also they rearranged every song of this concert because of her departure as SM announced about this concert (first Tokyo Dome concert) before Jessica departure and Jessica already practiced for this concert but her sudden departure made a change in every song specially this song. Also, all the members cried in this video and every one were shocked to see Hyoyeon crying as she said that she never cried in front of people as to not show her weakness but she cried the most after sunny. This was one of the best live performances for SNSD as it is showed their vocals and how strong they were when every one were pointing on them for Jessica's leaving !!

They leave an empty space in the center, where Jessica would be standing, and then they close it, representing the end of an era and a new start as 8 members. It's nice to see how they gave Jessica a farewell with this masterpiece.

U just react to the best live concert of a legends girls in K-pop industry👑✨ INTW it's not just a normal debut song, it's It represents Korea, It's also years ago that the greeting of the homeland became the second to the country❤️it's a motto and a symbol of eternal love and friendship, and that's what happened with SNSD, even if Jessica divides them, we know and they're always hinting that they're forever 9 members, but they're always together, even if they're separated by solo works and everything, they're one, and that's what they assured us in FOREVER 1 too💗 This is what confirms even if it exists many of other girls group no one can beat Or take the place of the greatest band and pave the way for the bands and the nation girls ever👑 And their crying here is because of Jessica, and it's was the first time doing a concert without her in 2014 And this was very few months after she left, and despite their brokenness and sadness, they were able to do the best in this concert, And I hope you watch all their live concerts because they're really the best✨

all the members cried, just mainly vocal line like taeyeon tiffany seohyun didn't cry till the end rlly, and tae mainly had her eyes closed throughout the entire thing. it's an emotional song, and it was end of their tokyo dome concert which was a huge milestone moment for them that jessica was supposed to be part of but was not due to group conflicts. i think it was also the first time post departure they sang itnw as ot8 so it was very emotional and overwhelming for the girls as well. out of the girls the members that rarely cry are rlly taeyeon and tiffany, they're both not the type to bawl in public but have endured a lot behind the scenes sadly

This was supposed to be another milestone for them to have a concert in tokyo dome as OT9 but due to Jessica's departure while preparing this concert, they have to rearrange their performances as OT8. The thought of it makes this stage very emotional that despite of what happened to them and all the criticism they received they still put a smile and give their best on stage. I know some people still blame the Girls for this issue and no one knows what really happened but it doesn't change the fact that these girls shared the most precious memories and the truth will still remain as private matter to them. Supporting both is what the true SONEs do ❤

I remembered some ppl used to said that Taeyeon wasn't cried n emotionless w the departure of J. However, if you look closely and study her personalities n the way she handle her emotions, Taeyeon did cried but knowing her, she really is private and close with her emotions. Even we as a fan rarely got to see her shed tears as she is good at masking her sadness. It was bc she was hurt bad enough and with her position as leader, ppl tend to put all the responsibilities and blame her when smtg went wrong even it was not her fault at all. One thing i adore the most abt taeyeon is, even she is hurt by ppl, she will comfort herself by comforting others with kind words. Not to say, we will never get to hear her kindness and warm acts if not someone spill it out for us to know. And God knows what she had been through for the past years. It hella tough but I'm glad she passed it and I'm proud of myself too for still standing behind her back and be with her through the upside down.😊

el 2014 fue un año muy difícil para SNSD en muchos aspectos, las chicas pasaron por mucho. Su concierto en el Tokio Dome era una de las metas más grandes que habían alcanzado como grupo, porque presentarse en el TD no es nada sencillo, pero también marcó un antes y un después. La salida de J era muy reciente y ellas se venían preparando desde meses atrás para esa fecha, aún recuerdo cuando vi esa presentación por primera vez, era un explosión de emociones, muy hermoso, pero también nostálgico. Esa presentación siempre será conmovedora para SONE, en diciembre se cumplen 8 años de su concierto en el TD y aún sigo llorando porque me pongo a pensar en cómo se sentían las chicas en ese momento. Definitivamente ITNW Ballad Version es de mis presentaciones favoritas, se puede ver la calidad vocal de SNSD, pero también fue un momento muy importante para SOSHI y para SONE. Fuimos uno solo, no solo los fans que estuvieron en el concierto, sino también los miles de SONES que lloramos y sentimos esa presentación como si hubiéramos estado presente en ese momento físicamente. I am so proud of everything the girls have achieved, they deserve all the best in the world.

This performance is probably one of the most legendary performances in the history of kpop. It honestly makes me cry just thinking about it as a SONE of coming up to 10 years now. Though this was not their first performance without Jessica, performing at Toyko Dome as Girls Generation was always a huge goal and desire for all 9 members of the group. Unfortunately when they finally got the chance to perform there, Jessica had left the group only about 3 months prior. For them they were still getting used to performing as 8, and still getting used to Girls Generation only being 8 rather than 9. The ballad version of ITNW may have already been planned while Jessica was in the group, but knowing they had to perform it for the first time without her must have been incredibly hard on the girls, this performance ended up becoming somewhat of a tribute to Jessica and all their careers together. You can see at the beginning of their performance that they left a space right in the middle of the stage, just big enough to fit another person, before they came together for the second verse. Just such an incredible performance, there are very few performances with the emotional weight that this one holds in existence, genuinely don't think I've ever gotten through watching this performance without crying honestly.

I always cry watching this performance. The memory kicked in and it broke my heart. I rmb vividly the news broke out on my graduation day and I thought it was just a prank, I wished it was April fools but it was not... then the next day, the girls had to perform without her. If we're the fans who felt this much emotion, imagine how they felt... it's been so many years and I am so proud of them. I am still a sone after these years , I am still here with them.

This was during their concert at Tokyo Dome and back then it was rare for kpop idols to perform at that venue and it was their dream to one day perform there and it happened after Jessica left the group. This was really important to them and it was like a dream come true for the members to finally be able to perform at Tokyo Dome. In my own pov though I think the ballad performance of their debut song is like saying that they will continue as 8 members and this was their own way of saying goodbye to Jessica.

This was not the end of the concert. They performed for about another hour after this. Consider that although the song is literally in their 'DNA' , they still had to practice the new vocal arrangement, then they had to go through all the various stage rehearsals for sound, costume, lighting, timing, while managing their emotions throughout, and the prospect of failing to deliver the song BECAUSE of those emotions...yet, in part because of those emotions they delivered what I consider to be the greatest performance in pop music history...not just K-Pop, but ALL pop music.

They finally got to have a concert on Tokyo dome, But this performance alone was supposed to be a fairwell performance for jessica because she was planning to announce her hiatus after this show. But she's get to go to the concert cuz she wasn't a member anymore.

This was the first time they performed Into the New World without Jessica. Also I think it’s the first time they performed at Tokyo Dome which is a big deal and Jessica couldn’t be there for it. So yeah that’s probably why they were crying

They are supposed to perform as 9 member-group on that concert on Dec 2014, it was their dream. But unfortunately SM sent Jessica out of SNSD on September 2014. They had to change all of the preparation (rearrange the songs composition and choreo) in the middle of heartbreak.

This is the first performance when Jessica departed from the group. And whoever knows that this happy song will turn into a sad song? But now, 15 years later a sad song turn into a happy song again. Just like the Girls said “We are forever one”

IKR! That would've have ruined the performance and interfered since she had to belt the high notes along with tiff and seo, others had the luxury to cry openly since they are supporting vocals,they were all emotional but had to remain professional too 😭😭😭
