My favorite foundation of all time. Love that it's basically full coverage but still natural looking. It's my go-to for when I need a foundation to last all day. Im typically all about the glow, but I find this foundation to have enough of a natural finish that it's easily to manipulate

I've tried this foundation a few times now and here's my take. On my skin (29 years old, normal skin type) it looks AMAZING in photographs and from far away, even when built up to full coverage. But up close it slightly emphasizes skin texture and dryness. This will be a contender for me for my friend's wedding I'll be in next year, but I wouldn't wear this like say, on a date.

Give it a second try maybe in the summer when your skin has adjusted- for now take care of yourself- do some night time lotions- when I am dry I put CAUDALIE premier Cru at night- I am older and dry - the other less heavy and most likely not to cause issues is the Kiehl’s ultra facial cream is awesome ( so dull looking) tried it once and have repurchased it ever since- also by them the milk toner( the one in glass jar) I had such success with cream I was convinced by a Sophora employee to try- that was the end of my adult acne- leaves my face so clean without stripping or drying- on my 5 th bottle! I love the hairs labs but I do a hydrating routine before and wear a hydrating primer- it was wonderful this summer- I don’t have a ton of texture- but some stuff like MUFE HD Skin make me look terrible- the hairs labs doesn’t do that at all and is long wearing. Hope you feel better- maybe a trip somewhere for sun this winter?😀

My sisters wedding was this past weekend and used the Dior foundation in the square bottle on her and set with powered because she is oil city but it looked great allllll night meanwhile I sweat my makeup off running around lol I had to take it off. It was the haus labs it just looked cakey so I literally took it off the rest of the night.

I’m in my 50s with very dry skin. This foundation works for me when I prep carefully, use finishing spray and use as little as possible. If I use too much - or if I powder, I look like the Sahara at the end of my very long days!

I have to say I agree with you. I’m 44 and don’t have dry skin but it does really pick up on texture on me. I did pick up the glossier foundation per rec and it’s been great!!!!

I hope you try it when the weather warms back up. I have dry skin(37 years old, have used IT! Cosmetics CC cream for years! Also, I live in Northern Michigan. )I am loving this with a light dusting of Melt Cosmetics Glazed Skin Finishing Powder and IT! Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I like that this foundation sets down more than the IT! Cosmetics CC Cream Foundation. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin since I switched to the Haus Labs Foundation.

I love how comfortable this foundation is, the longevity of it, and the coverage. What I’m not sure I love is the finish. I’m combo leaning dry with mature skin and I’m finding that I prefer a slightly more matte finish. I can powder this but that can be a slippery slope with my skin.

I'm 32 with dry skin during the winter time and oily skin during the summer and this is hands down my favorite foundation and would be ok with it being the only one I own! I've found that it works well on both! Doesn't emphasize texture or dryness on me. Super comfortable and find it works well with a sponge and brush 😊

I have dry maturing skin and I love this foundation. I will say during the summer I didn't use it as much but once I started using the Herbivore face oil as part of my skincare routine, it looks better. Doesn't look dry and I never use primer. Just Tatcha Dewy moisturizer and the face oil, sun screen and Mac Fix plus before applying it.

Always love your perspective! I got a sample of the concealer and really liked it. Will get it at some point when my shade is no longer sold out. With this review I may skip the foundation cuz I’m a dry girlie too.

I struggled with pores and gathering and separation as well...not worth the price for sure, I prefer my Givenchy foundation or even my Sephora Care one, loaded with skin care as well, but way better performing and long lasting: huge dissappointment, especiallu from such a hipped brand. I have to disagree that other influencers are only saying it’s their holy grail, there’s plenty of honest mixed reviews on KZread.

I have normal to dry skin and I’ve found the key is to moisturize well, use less than a full pump, and rub it in with your fingers a bit before going in with a brush.

I have dry sensitive skin and I mix that foundation with tinted sunscreen and looks really nice all day!

As long as you know that mixing anything with sunscreen, dilutes it and you still protect yourself.

It’s true what they say it’s not a one size fits all. This is my HG foundation. And I have tons of texture on my cheeks and yet it doesn’t emphasize it at all. This foundation on my combo oily skin stays put all day. I keep trying other foundations during the sale and I returned them all and just got my winter shade in Haus Labs.

I've heard the Tom Ford foundation stick is really good for dry, even mature skin and that it helped someone with the redness on there face with calming it down and soothing. I too have many illnesses that affect me on a daily and can easily end up with rashes so I'm really curious.

I think you’re right on this one, I see super conflicting takes on this foundation, but it seems like there are just so many other foundations out there that are better. Have you tried the Basma stick foundation? I’ve seen amazing reviews for that one!

I hate that I hated it! Love the concealer, but this just did not work for me at all! I haven’t but I love a stick or cream formula❤️

I tried this foundation and from what I remember it looked good at first but 3 hours later it looked greasy separated and didn’t stay all day. I have since tried other Haus Labs products and love them, so I was thinking maybe I should try this again…. But after watching you I might just save my money and time. I would love to know your current favorite foundation that doesn't enhance pores and skin texture? I had the same issues

I like washing my blender right before I go to bed and then letting it dry overnight and then in the morning it’s the perfect dampness…not fully dry but not too wet either. I found if I wet it and ring it out, I don’t like how it applies as much

I had the exact same impression. It does last all day, but just doesn’t look good. You can see that you have makeup on and it highlights texture. Also, I used it for a few weeks and it broke me out with tiny bumps.

I have this and I like it. I don't love it. I'm genuinely happier with Revlon Illuminance. That just sits so nicely and is not fussy at all about how it's applied.

Can you please try the polite society foundation I heard really good things about it…❤❤❤

I would love to try Haus Labs but the shipping to Australia is crazy! I have to say again, your skin is really beautiful ❤

My advice… I hated it at first too and had similar issues. Don’t apply directly to skin. Apply to back of hand and coat the brush thoroughly. Start on the perimeter and buff the product closely to the center. I would add one pump at a time to build coverage. I personally found it is not great at layer w/ other brands products or in general w/o enhancing texture.

I don’t love on myself either. However, from what I’ve heard is there is a sweet spot when it comes to the amount you use. Maybe try and use less and see what u think. I haven’t tried again yet because the color I got is not right.

I have been using this foundation for 6 months now and it is one of the few foundations I am almost about to finish and ready to repurchase it. So sad to hear it hasn’t work for a lot of people because on my normal skin looks perfect at the end of the day. Maybe a bit of shiny since I live in very humid weather but it does not look “makeupy” or accentuates texture on me.

I’ve tried soo hard to love this foundation because I don’t want to be wasteful and I spend $ on it😭 I’m 31 (on spironolactone and retin a for acne prevention) so my skin leans slightly dryer. This foundation looks beautiful at first but dries out over the coarse of the day, sinks into any little line, and leaves my skin a little irritated afterwards. It’s odd because it claims to calm redness..

I have dry sensitive skin with lots of fine lines and I love this foundation. I’m so sad it didn’t work out for you.

No but seriously I bought it TWICE because of all the constant hype and it looks glowy great for 15 min then it was like BAM textured skin on all my problem areas. Omgg you have to try the Ciele tint!!!! I have tried it all and on my dry mature skin with large pores on cheeks it is soooo smoothing and long lasting. It is with the hype and my number holy grail ☝️👏👍

I didn’t like this foundation at first because I felt like it looked separated BUT I stopped using water based moisturizers or primers and it used a silicone based primer which helped a lot with how it sat on my skin. The formula has so many silicones that I feel like it’s a little finicky.

Ahhh Virgo Sister! I’m so sorry it didn’t work out for you! 😢 surprisingly for me and my 31 year old skin; my skin did so well with it! I don’t normally purchase from celebrity brands (they’re rich as it is) but I love Gaga so I thought why not. I loved it! Idk if maybe the foundation paired with other concealers/other makeup, etc or even certain skincare prior to make application may be a reason why it didn’t turn out well? I wore the foundation with One/Size by Patrick Starr to set it and i looked SOOOOOO dry and the foundation looked so bad. 😭

The comments are all over the place it looks like I would have to get a sample of this. I would have the same issues you’re having. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Mallory, I’m with you - I have normal to dry”ish” skin and the Haus Labs Fdn (160) looked beautiful upon application however 2 hours later it was breaking up between my eyebrows and it wore off my nose completely. A little goes a long way but it just wasn’t flattering on me AT ALL 👎🏽

I can’t get this stuff to dry down and when I add powder it does this weird polka dot pore thing - using one size powder.. I’m taking it back

So sad you didnt like this, but not everything works for everyone. I'm 54, very dry perimenopause skins situation going on and the Haus Labs has turned into my fountain of youth. on extra extra dry skin days I do wear it over RMS Beauty Primer. I used to swear by Estee Lauder Double Wear but over the last 18 month or so I can't wear it anymore :( it makes my skin look dryer, crepey and cakey (which seems to be the opposite effect of other women in my age range)

I also have extremely extremely dry skin! Which foundations do you recommend for extremely dry skin?

Hi Mallory, from what I have heard (I did not tried that foundation) Is that less is better and one pump is enough for the whole face. Maybe give it another shot .....

Just like you I do have dry skin, and on top of that I have mature skin (just turned 60 yrs old). There is on foundation that I am so impressed with: I have the Surrratt surreal skin , (the one with the brush on the tip) and my oh my... the blurring is real but still luminous without being oily or glossy. I think they performed some kind of magic with that product. Are you familiar with it? What is your opinion?

I did not love this foundation either which bummed me out at first cause everyone raves about it. I like a radiant, lightweight, smoothing, and seamless finish. I may be a lil picky tbh 😂. Right now nothing can hold a candle to the new hourglass skin tint. It checks off all my boxes, use it daily.

@@ImMalloryBrooke I’m right there with you. I had the full bottle of the Haus Labs tried to love it, used it twice, and just had to return. I think it’s just a little too heavy and thick in consistency. Yes, I have tried the yummy skin tint! That is a good tint also. I tried the new MAC foundation, it held up great on my oily skin. I watched your review on it as well. Tried the fenty stick…didn’t like it. There were some good launches this year, but I ultimately just purchased and only kept the HG tint. I’m trying to behave and not over buy like I use to 😮‍💨🙃. But I like to trial and see 😂 The best thing I like I keep and use non stop. I enjoy your reviews as I find them honest without the sugar coating other people do.

It will be 4 degrees here by tonight so cold I would rather it be 29 degrees, I have never really tried this foundation but a lot of people say its a nice foundation. I have combination skin so not sure it would be for me either.

Thanks for the review. I think you should give it a better chance when you're off the low dose chemo. I don't think any foundation is going to work right now.

Dang, I'm so bummed it didn't work out for you! I have more oily/combo skin and love it, but maybe that's why? Ironically, I'm not a huge fan of their concealer LOL!

I feel like I am the one person who doesn't like either the haus labs concealer or foundation. The concealer looks textured and dry on me (and I don't have textured or dry under-eyes!) and the foundation starts breaking up within a couple of hours on me so is not long lasting on my skin. I have combo skin and am in my late 20s. I only ever use this foundation mixed in with another more long-lasting foundation (and also because I want to use it up since it was pricey and I waited to long to return it).

I know why she doesn't use other products during the review process but what about using the foundation the way she normally would? I always use a primer and powder and whatever else so I'd still like to that yeah?.

I am 44 and I have EXTREAMLY dry skin. I have tried it with few different primer bases and nothing seems to make a difference. It simply does not look great on really dry skin. On the areas where my skin is more normal like my nose I wind up looking greasy and my dry areas just look horrible and patchy plus it makes my few small wrinkle lines look like canyons.

I feel pretty dry with this foundation as well even with skin prep and crack after few hours 😢

I loved it for a few hours, but then it seemed to dry out my skin. It showed all the dry patches on my chin and made me sad. Lol

I have tried this so many ways and it looks terrible on me in person! So bad! 😑

I tried and tried this foundation every which way recommended by KZreadrs, other comments, every way I thought would work for my dry skin. And when it did look good, it took so much prep work and did not wear well, so it just wasn’t worth it. If I have to work that hard to get a product to look good on me it’s not worth it. But I know lots of people love it including my daughter, but for me it just didnt work

I had to return this one. It just wouldn't last on my skin no matter what I tried.

It didn't work for my dry skin either. I enhanced my pores, and it was very heavy.

I tried to like this foundation, wore it several times with different techniques. It looked horrible every time. I’m 51 with combo skin can get pretty oily in my T-Zone , it enhanced every flaw I have. I still can’t figure out why anyone likes it

Horrible foundation for dry skin! Save your $ 😮

My personal experience: YES to Haus labs concealer, NO to the foundation. I also have dry, sensitive skin.

Omg ok exactly my experience!!!

I hate this foundation. I have dry skin and it enhanced texture and pores, and clung to every dry patch so badly. And I’m really good with my skin prep! Your results looked similar to mine when using this foundation. It’s so hyped up by influencers and I just don’t get it.

Tbh; I’m also 35 and I’ve never-even in my 20s- met a foundation that didn’t look like complete shitzies up close… my expectations are: it has to look nice from a conversational distance

Armani Luminous Silk foundation is a gamechanger. I think you would love it!

It looks dewy and dry at the same time. Seems to really emphasize pores. I'll pass on this one.

I hate the Haus labs foundation, it made my pores look huge!

Every time companies refer a product as ‘clean’ it just completely puts me off. Mainly because they actually believe that their customers are completely stupid and ignorant!!

Same! 😂 plus no way am I spending my money on something that’s going to go bad faster than I can use it. And once it goes bad and starts smelling, there’s a very good chance it was bad before it started to smell, and then I would have been putting it on my face that whole time! No thanks! 😂 Give me properly preserved products any day!

I need a good natural matte looking foundation that doesn’t look like a desert love yummy skin I have to baby sit all day constantly powdering I love how it makes my skin plump and it’s so thin and skin like but ugh I’m torn 🤍🤍🤍 I didn’t think this haus labs one was for me neither thanks for reviewing
