Thanks for the review! I got the OM6 myself, you can adjust the gimbal follow speed in the app. In my experience, the subject tracking is pretty stable and smooth, making it great for personal or travel footage. So far, my experience with it has been solid!

Hi. Quick question. Just got the OM6 and unless I’m doing something wrong, the ZOOM wheel ONLY works when shooting through the DJI MIMO app?? Why is that? I thought the zoom would also work if using the native camera app. Isn’t the video quality better using the native camera app? Ty and great content

i agree

long exposure in time lapse: the software seems to limit the shutter speed to 1/30th of a second in time lapse mode. this limits a lot the creative use of this device, any comment or recommendation for this function (with preprogrammed movements otherwise a simple tripod and the smartphone would be enough)

is dji om6 stable even fully extended? (extension rod/selfie stick mode) because in insta360flow when fully extended, it shows that its being bend a little bit and bouncy most of all if the phone is heavy

i will be new to vlogging, is it worth to purchase one, i've had my eyes on one for a while.. with the restricted movement on the gimbal, i will be constantly panning my phone around from left to right

Hey good to see you again. Not sure what you mean by a kit lens, the mount can only fit a phone so you can’t put a camera on this if that’s what you are referring to?

@@ShadelessDen oh gotcha, I feel like this gimbal can't sustain overly heavy setups. I think under 300g is decent. I tried the Zhiyun Smooth 5s I feel its more capable in terms of weight but unfortunately its a BIG gimbal for mobile phone. just dropped the review

From my personal research it seems like most mobile gimbals that are leaning more compact can't handle lenses outside of maybe the 37mm Nd filter. With counter weights the anamorphic could work well but ideally the large smartphone gimbals like the Smooth 5(?) can handle lens and nd filter combined although at that size you can argue to just get a camera gimbal such as the M3 or DJI RSC

Does the phone stay in vertical (portrait) mode when taking low angle shots?

Hi i’ve been planning to get one on a korean trip and we never had a gimbel ever, we saw dji 4, 5 and 6 and we we’re amazed by the amount of features but hearing your review and the limits of the 6, would it be worth getting the 4 or 5 and skip the 6? My use is that i like taking alot of photos and videos on my trip, not much of a vlogger, just making memories

I think you will do fine with a 4-5 for everyday just videos. Photos I probably wouldn’t t even use a gimbal given how good phones are these days just handheld.

It’s the dji wireless mic. I did a tips and trick of it on my page. Not bad

why people holding gimbal straight up ?.. should hold a little push forward while walking. Should test in Android phone as well to see the limitation. TEST without using APP

Osmo 6 or zhiyun 5s??

Tilt mode is very bad. If you want cinematic shots this gimbal is very limited. I have zhiyun smooth 4 and can do tilt shot from the ground to ever my head without any problem. To be honest lots of features you will never use just want a nice stable footages. I dont like this magnetic climb as well. I have to balance my gimbal manually if otherwise u neet to put this climb exactly the same position every time when u put on your phone.

Yea I mentioned this in my om6 vs zhiyun smooth 5s. Gimbal movement dji does fall short

@TechTok lots of limitations. No 60fps, lack of options and shooting modes, missing features and settings. Much better app when using an iPhone. It's clear that Android was an afterthought for DJI.

@@superstarvelvetg, many (Chinese) gimbal manufacturers seem to ignore Android users quite systematically for some reason. I guess it's much easier to develop software just for a few hardware configurations of iPhones than for many Androids. But they are free to not want our money ;-) The main problem I see is the reviewers ignoring this in their videos. Looking at you @TechTok ;-)

lol that's not the right way to wake up the gimbal.

All the DJI’s motors will fail. That’s why you see so many in the used and refurbished market. The gears are plastic. These things are toys.
