I have seen a boatload of these types of reviews and I teach media communications at a four-year university. You are an excellent content creator! This was very watchable all the way through and very well-crafted overall. Well done!

This video was so good that I forgot I was watching a review. Didn't want it to end!
Thank you for your review it helped me definitely.
Thanks for doing this. This really helped clarify what I was still questioning about these 3 without a lot of extra chatter and info that didn't pertain. THis is probably the best review of these 3 together. Cheer mate!

Now this is what I call a review!
Great review! Thank you.
The ammount of work you put into it is incredible. What is your camera and lens setup?
DJI sounds thin. Lacks bass. Hollyland not only sounds the best, but looks good.
Hi! Thanks for your very good video. I bought hollyland mark max after watching your video. Do you use with your smart phone? I tried to use with my galaxy S22 but it never detected and unable to use it. I also tried with Oppo and pixel phone but non of worked... But it worked with iphone. How about with your phone??
Very good content! Thank you : )
Thanks, this was informative and felt really unbiased (no affiliate links make this also clear).
Can you recommend a video that will allow me to learn the basics of editing audio?
Great review of the three. Outside of the Rode "pro" features, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The audio sounded great from all three, with pretty minor differences between them.

bang for buck yeah the audio is pretty good from all three to be honest.
aside from a pretty damn informative good review, I like your presentation style. Thanks. 👍

I love DJI 😍
I love your video when you talking with and changing the location it's more engaging to watch i know how much effort to create thise video and i very very like hollyland lark max because its budget and have enc features and more battery backup that's is more important to me i like it thanks tech tok

The mics rock bro but which camera do u use 😅 💪🏾💪🏾
For you wich has BEST audio quality?
underrated video
Am I able to monitor the audio quality with the Hollyland (or any of these options)? I want to be able to make sure it’s turning out ok as I’m filming.
@MrTechTok
Ай бұрын
yes you can with all of these.
Thanks for the comparison. My only critique of this video is the first half you signify what mic is being heard by mic #1 etc but don't announce which brand is mic #1, 2 etc.
@HakunaMatataAquatics

The whole idea was to conceal which mic you were listening to. You could decided on one based on a blind test. Then he announced it at the end which mic was which. I think he should have done a better job of explaining upfront because I felt the same as you and didn’t realize until the end why he was only using numbers.
Hey quick question that no creator mentioned. Are the wind muff locking on the hollyland max ??

No

its more of a twist lock. only rode is lock on
great contents!
Does only the DJI have the safety record to transmitter feature? or do all 3?
@MrTechTok
6 ай бұрын
All three have safety record.
I think you may not be the perfect customer for the Rode option as the features on this mic that the others lack are hugely beneficial in certain environments. I can see the benefits of the Timecode function if you are a studio or you work with multiple cameras and use the feature alongside the 32 float audio. You can only benefit from this audio quality by pulling it from the device and synchronising it with the final footage. You will have huge benefit to both quality and time saved matching the voices to the video. Other than that, if you aren't using these features then this video summarises the use case of each fairly well. The Rode smashes this out of the park for me.😊
Now THIS is a review
What lens and camera body you using ?
@MrTechTok

Depends on the scene but Sony s3 and GM 24mm and Tamron 17-28 28-200
Nice review!
I have a question , can anyone help? The audio recorded on the holly land max transmitter sounds very low whenever I import the file into my MacBook Pro using logicpro. I never messed with any of the settings on the receiver or transmitter it is the factory settings still. Why is my audio not loud ?
@MrTechTok
9 күн бұрын
check the receiver volume, it should have a display, make sure your audio is in the yellow range, and just drag the file into your MacBook , see if that helps.
Good review.. i bought hollyland
RODE Wireless Pro sunds fantastic
what is your camera ?? Looks great

I have the Rode and the DJI. They ALL sound good. I like the case of the DJI, so that’s the one I carry and use on my KZread travel channel.

The small form factor is definitely a bonus for light travel
Do you need an external recorder to use them?
@rayaneredhead3374
Ай бұрын
of course not
Can you replace the batteries in any of these?
@MrTechTok
16 күн бұрын
unfortunately no to all three
*I guessed the Rhode because it had the best sound but I was surprised the DJI was the 2nd best (IMHO) for the lower price, so it looks like a definite best value for money.*
Can we use this kind of mic for live like church?
@MrTechTok
2 күн бұрын
you can as long as your recording/video device accepts this which most do. Or if you just want audio ONLY, then you can use the internal recording feature to record audio only like a mic pen.
The best reviewer
did you set the gain to auto or dynamic in this video?
@MrTechTok
6 ай бұрын
For the rode? Dynamic most of the time
eyeing on hollyland but still unable to decide since not much vloggers test the devices to its max
Please say which best?

Can you connect a lavalier microphone to the Hollyland?
@adamdrakestudio

Yep. Have a pair of these Lark Max’s and can connect lav mics.
@MrTechTok

sure can any 3.5mm lav will do
Rode is clearly better sound wise. Followed by the Hollyland! But as a package - seems Hollyland wins - especially as all of the kit actually fits in the case (unlike DJI)
Dji mic best choice of voice mic in my opinion
after watching these, i am definitely in the DJI camp...
@Criticalmaze

I would always choose Rode mics, dji for drones and gimbals , insta360 for action cams😊

For the money - I like Hollyland. DJI sounded the "thinnest" of the three, to my ears.
at the audio review.. i heard better undertones and less reverb with the hollyland.. so i think i like that one best.. i just placed an order
8:29 I don’t get the shirt.
DJI 2 - Frequency response - only 50 Hz - 20 kHz Rode better with 20 Hz - 20 kHz nuff said if you want the best sound quality you need rode mics
WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAV MIC RIGHT NOW?
How you doing?! that is unusual sharing~ ))
They're all great, but for me it's the Hollyland Max.
Now with DJI 2 I think DJI is the best
The rode is definitely it
All of these systems will always be semi-pro or prosumer systems. They will never be considered professional because of a major design flaw. What is that flaw? Not exposing 1/8 inch (3.5mm) of threads on the exterior of the 3.5 mm plug so there is no way to lock the lav mic to the transmitter. A real bummer if it should get unpluged in the middle of a scene.
hollyland
Is in it funny that dji makes drones and still manages to comete with røde
Hollyland...

I like sound 1 from the beginning and I was sure it was the rode (cause it’s more expensive) and I was supper surprised to hear it was Hollyland - which I’m probably gonna purchase in the next few minutes
*I JUST bought the Hollyland Lark MAX as I have the Lark M1's and I have to say that NC is AMAZING. I had the Rode Wireless GO & GO 2 and I mainly switched because I wanted a smaller form factor but at a decent Price so I was presented with the Lark M1's and fell in love wit the Brand and NOW I've bough another one, the Lark MAX. Amazing review*
Ended up getting the Pros for under $300 and never looked back(job perk). The additional accessories AND 2 x$99 lav mics were icing on a yummy cake. I don't mess with audio once I have it set but having the extra peace of mind with the 32 bit float, auto gain assist, longer battery life and larger storage of course was a no brainer purchase. I know you didn't deep dive into the little things but being able to LOCK controls is a little spoken about feature if you didnt want someone messing with recording. (internal or transmitted) The lav mic Clips are a garbage so I just 3d printed a set as well as a 3d printed interview microphone.
@v3zMedia

good idea on the mic clips. I don't really use them either.
Great video! I liked Mic 1 and 3 the best when I was listening. I think 3 was overall the best, but Mic 1 was a close second - when you revealed the which was which I was genuinely surprised.
out of all the reviews i seen, I believe the hollyland has a better crisp than dji and rode
Your battery graphs are baised! HL battery graph is double and half Rode's while the difference is only 1 hour!! Really!
