Love this bikes! I got a 1982 XL500 on my channel that I've been working on all year. The pipe and jetting setup I have has it sounding so good too. If ya give these bikes a little love they'll run forever! Keep up to cool videos.

Looks like a fun project! Excited to hear it run!

I just brought a 2000 XR400. Full big gun exhaust all the way through and mikuni pumper carb Condition is poor, but I will ride for awhile then do a ground up restoration, paid $2500. My other bike is a 1990 CR250 And she is a stunner.

nice vid, be sure to check the floating loab on the auto decompressor for cracks (on the cam shaft) makes a mess if it lets go. check out thumper talk auto decompressor explained if you need more info. good luck with the build its good to see some new content on the xr400 i love mine. thanks for the vid.

@@Builditathome-Restoration I'm in Australia, they are getting rare here too as people flog them and don't maintain them properly. I got mine for $1500 AUD so that's about 930 euros but i did a full frame swap as mine was rusted out.
