Im about to do a 2007 420tm. 3rd and 4th gear stripped out and locked up the trans. Engine still runs and sounds perfect tho... also gona do a cam chain on a 2004 rancher 350 4x4.

Can you take the front of the motor off to fix the shifting problem without taking the motor out of the frame?

I have that honda rancher I think I heard grinding noise in the differential then the shifter stopped working, does that sound right or was the grinding noise in the starter?

I'm having pretty much the same problem as that, i am missing something that's stopping the gear spindle comp, what is it?

They can be pretty difficult to fix. Did you figure it out?

Yes finally. I had the shift plate and gear installed incorrectly.

Those can be rather difficult to fix. Engine has to be removed most of the one time. Gears in the front case could be broken
