I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the 212. I have a 140 on one of mine.

Thanks for checking it out !
Just ran across your channel in my search for videos on ct70 bikes. I just got a project of a 1977 ct70. Frame and engine is still together and came with a box of parts. Love what you have done with this one.

I need that engine for my 71 😁
Thanks great audiovisual content Please differences between daytona 190 VS Zongshen190 engine, I can't find anything on the internet.
Those engines have been known to have a compression release spring that is weak or needs another turn taken on it to work properly. KZread to the rescue for my 190 by putting another twist on the compression release spring.

Good call. I'll have to look into that. I actually have the E-start working now and it fires up with little drama on the electric starter. Thanks for watching!
That 212 is gonna be a bit more “thirsty” than the 140 was. Makes for some range anxiety with just a 0.7-gallon gas tank.

You are 100% correct. I've already noticed how much more it drinks just from the shakedown runs.
Love this collaboration! Jay with the face reveal too! This is huge! I'm only half way through where you're discussing shift pattern. I feel your pain!

Thanks. I am going to get back to that build before next winter. I think I found the engine that will give it enough power to turn that track 😁
I didn't scratch it did I??? 😁

Me again. I watch your interesting videos and I also build a bike. I am ready to order wheels like yours and some tires, but I don't know if I will be able to put the tires on the wheels myself at home. Local motorcycle dealers will not install tires that you did not buy from them. When you mounted the tires did you have the hubs and rims mounted together? How did you solve it? How wide are your handlebars? Are they wider than the original handlebars? Sorry for so many questions. Thx

I did not have the hub mounted when I installed the tires. I just used a lot of soapy water and took my time putting the tires on. It wasn't easy but I got it done. My bars are clone CT70 bars. Not sure exactly how wide they are. They are a bit wider than stock.

Nice job. I am also planning my project. How many miles will a bike with a 212cc engine go on a CT70 gas tank? Do you think the 212 engine will fit into 1977 CT70 frame without cutting the brace? Thx
@southeastvintagecyclerescue

I'm not sure on how far she'll go on a tank of gas. I would guess you won't need to cut the brace on your '77. I didn't have to on this K0 (1969)

What are your valve clearances set to?

Stock out of the box at the moment. Didn't mess with the clearances.

@southeastvintagecyclerescue they come out the box with the intake valve way to tight. I would just check to make sure. How many miles do you have on it now riding it straight out of the box?

@@kalilinux9730 I've got roughly 100 miles on it. That's good to know on the valve clearances. I will definitely check them before I run it again.
