How do slider weights compare to rollers? Would you say go with 6.5g sliders if you had 7.5g rollers in?

Zen and the art of scooter maintenance.
I really want to get a ruckus, this guy is provoking me into getting one lol
No music No funny comments No BS just plain good know how Kudos to Mitch
Thanks for making this video! My Ruckus was having an issue with the drive face nut walking out because I overtightenen it after some tuning and caused the threads to strip. Thanks to this video (and some replacement parts), it's properly torqued, and running great now. I couldn't have done it without you! Truly, this helped so much and I am immensely grateful to you, Mitch!
Just love watching your videos -so easy to follow along . All the information we need; nothing we don’t . Fun to work on our own bike!! You rock!!😎
Mitch's Scooter Stuff videos are the best. I've watch almost all of his videos. Very informative and not a waste of time like the other videos I've watched. Thank You, Mitch.
Nice! I learned a lot from your videos. Your videos kept me awake until 3 in the morning. Keep posting a maintenance and tutorial videos specially for honda ruckus. Great job sir!
Best channel for scooter repairs on KZread.
Great tutorial , have watched a few clips about changing the drive belt from other people , you use the correct tools and made sure that the belt sits properly and doesn't get pinched before you tighten the variator nut with a torque wrench to the correct tension, impact drivers are not a good idea as you can strip the thread.
Thank you Mitch you are helping me tuning my ruckus up with those videos.
Thanks so much Mitch. I used to watch your videos before I owned a Honda Ruckus…now I own one. You’re videos are a great help!

Haha thanks man!
The way you said rotate the pulley until nut is fully sit in well is definitely correct way. As you know some shop mech dont do the way properly , in the end, nut not sit in well and pulley come out and spoil the threading have to replace new crankshaft.
Mitch answers questions. Im a subscriber. I will be doing some mods soon and this is the place to learn. OUTSTANDING

Awesome video. You really do a great job.....
Great video Bud - To the point and easy to understand with some great tips (don't pinch the belt :-) ) Thank you.

Mitch, really enjoy your videos. They are clear and precise. I want to change out my drive belt on my Ruckus. You had a scanner wrench that helped you hold to the clutch housing and the variator from spinning. Where can i get one of those. It would help a lot with the installation. Thanks again.

Mitch, On a 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 scooter do I first have to drain the engine oil to remove the drive belt and clutch pulley cover? because the oil sight glass is there.
Good vid
Hi Mitch big fan! How do you ensure that the nut is properly tensioned on the crankshaft for the variator since the belt can get in the way.
Thank you sir!!
Mitch, thanks for this awesome video. I am about to do this on my 07 Reflex. I assume the process will be (fairly) similar. It looks like one of the nuts in your video had some blue threadlocker on it. Do you recommend using threadlocker?
saya dari indonesia, saya melihat konten bapa ini sangat bermanfaat, terimakasih tutorialnya
What tool would help take clutch apart to change clutch pads?
Hi, I noticed there is no screw/nut on the front of the clutch, so I want to change the shoes/pads, whats the trick or vid to watch, thanks
Question: I have a 2003 Honda Metropolitan CHF50P, which is restricted to the 25mph speed. Is it true, one can remove a washer from the CVT to increase the speed comparable to the CHF50?
Hello can you please help me? I stripped the screw that holds the band. The one where you last put the nut. Do you have a video on how to replace it?
how do you know what size wieghts to use.. im about 200-210 pounds
Hi Mitch thanks for all your videos. I been messing around with sliders in original variator and they got flat spots. Also now there is chatter from kickstarter rubbing on kickstarter washer.. it's starting to wear the teeth down. I've taken it apart and put rollers back in and tried to be extra certain of everything but still chattering?? If I bump the kickstarter arm with my heel while riding it goes away for a second but then returns. I don't know what to do. Any advice? Thanks again.
thanks!
surface cleaning and no lubrication on the shafts??
Ok, Mitch So I see what I was doing wrong, thank you. I tell you Mitch, if it was not for your instructional training videos. I would have thrown in the towel along time ago. Oh long should a new belt last, with normal residential driving ? Thanks Again My Friend Greg Whitacre Alaska
Nice
Hi. I have a Honda Dio AF68 from Japan. In the crankcase it looks very similar to yours. But currently I'm facing the issue that the spline on the engine crankshaft (the left one) is worn and the outer drive face as well as the kick starter ratchet don't lock in place. They now rotate freely and the bike doesn't drive anymore. Do you have any suggestions? Do I have to replace the entire crankshaft because of that worn? Thanks a lot
Hello Mitch, I recently ordered a clutch kit from Amazon for a 05 Honda Metropolitan 50 cc scooter and found the clutch pully does not fit. In comparison to the stock clutch, the new clutch has a lip on the back which rubs on the transmission case. In reviewing your video, I noticed the clutch you installed does not have a lip on the back of the driven pully. I've searched online and cant seem to find the clutch you installed which seems to mirror mine. Can you point me in the right direction please? I did review the clutch kit on the amazon link you posted but that also seems to have a lip on the back of the driven pully and worry it would not work.
Hi Mitch great video question I have a kymco people 150 I’m doing my belt -do you have to put grease on the rollers

Try tightening the nut with a impact drill.
Hey man I just subscribed to your channel and I noticed you work on a lot of Honda elite 50s I have an old 88 that I replaced the belt on and now it's either acting like it's choking out or dragging I'm not sure because I've never had a scooter before and how do I adjust and clean the carburetor on this two-stroke

Hey welcome to my channel! When you installed the new belt, did you carefully install the variator with rollers or sliders in without having them falling out of position? Are rollers / sliders in good shape?
Does the spacer not need any grease? It looks like there was some dried up grease from factory installation (dark red stuff).

Oil and belt dust most likely. There’s a oil seal around that shaft and it sometimes leaks a bit, I just replaced an old one that was leaking badly
Is this ASMR or ruck tutorial?..... killing it on both
Long time. No see you
Hell yeah
And where did you get that tool you're using to lock the variator and starter up with to take the bolts off and where did you get it

@@MitchsScooterStuff with the fan plate being made of aluminium as they heat up with friction they should tighten on the spline now I think about it . I must say I find variator,s a hole new world . Many thanks
Dang Mitch, F’n Amazon. I try to hook on from your site so u get credit ( I hope). I dont see the 6.5 slidders. Im just letting u know. Ill find em thx to you. Id be all messed up w/o you. I dont have pay pall. They be robbing folks in prison/Jail anyway. I got cash app tho. Dude i hope u get compensated for ur kick ass videos.
The area inside the cover of my ruckus is filthy. Is it safe to use parts cleaner to clean it up or is that too harsh? Thanks!!
