Today’s episode covers some top of the line security devices and anti-theft systems on the market, some good practices and common sense you can implement to keep your Rebel safe, and some statistics on Rebel in regards to theft.
Motorcycles have a substantial resale value, making them a hot target for thieves. Motorcycles have fewer barriers to thieves. Unlike a car, motorcycles can be scooped up into the back of a truck, van, or trailer. To avoid getting your motorcycle stolen, there’s plenty of precautionary measures you can take to deter thieves. When you're at home, or whenever possible, park your bike in a garage or in another safe location that can be locked to provide an extra level of security against theft and vandalism.
Cover
One of the cheapest and most overlooked item, a cover one of the the best ways to protect your bike. If your bike blends in and looks inconspicuous, a potential thief might actually pass it by because it doesn’t catch their eye.

Parking
Now, before we get into more products, I just wanted to quickly touch on the importance of parking.
Where you choose to park your bike is something you always need to be conscious of. When you’re out and about, park your bike in a well-lit, busy location. Your parking spot should be clearly visible from the surrounding storefronts.
Please note that the following items, as indestructible as they might seem, are simply deterrents and can not %100 guarantee your bike not being stolen but they might be able to make thew thief find an easier target.
Chains & Cables
If you mean business, buy a 16mm chain or thicker. Almax and Pragmasis make the best ones on the market:

Most good chains aren’t very portable and they’re a struggle to carry unless you have a top box, tail bad, or rack that you can take with you. On the stock version of the Honda Rebel, there's not much storage. This is why a portable Litelock might be a good alternative to a heavy set of chains:
