So glad you went for the Oxford grips, I have then genuine Honda 1s on my nc and there absolutely rubbish. I have the Oxford on my other bike and there fantastic. Great video. 👌🏻

Thanks very much. I had never ridden a bike with heated grips until I borrowed a friends cb500x with oxford grips and after one trip I wondered how I ever did without them! I did think about going with the Honda ones when I bought the bike. Looks like I dodged a bullet there. Thanks for the comment 👍

I'd dump the large original can for something a bit more fruity like the GRmoto exhaust

Does the bigger trunk add any problem to major road speed stability? On my ST1300s I ran a big GIVI trunk and at Interstate Speeds( above 75 mph) I could bet a little wobble. It wasn’t there if I ran without it.

No. I’ve had it on there for a year or so now and never had a problem with stability even at high speeds or in high winds. I think the weight of the engine being so low helps as other bikes I’ve toured on can feel a bit light at the front at motorway speeds.

Was the suspension front worth doing?

Honestly, probably not. The handling is better with the stiffer front suspension but the bumps in the road feel much harsher on the hands and wrists. The Nitron rear shock was a definite improvement though.

That would be nice. I did try a bmw gs1250 with a heated seat. I probably would get one for the Honda if there was an option.

No fork sanction protection or rad guard, 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't think you can buy them new anymore. They do come up on ebay and facebook marketplace from time to time.
