Love your vids Mitch. I've got 3 1987. Was a Vespa dealer once and visited the Piaggio factory. The CH250 is overall the best scooter ever built.

Where does it show to use gear oil? Manual says use 10w-40 engine oil..

Yes same question. Manual calls for same oil as in engine. Why are you using thick oil?

What do you do if this stuff leaks out? What seals should be replaced? Would make a great video. I have a 85 ch150. Per the manual I used regular 10w30 engine oil. It leaked out. I replaced it with 80w90 bell ray hypoid oil. Will that stop the leak since it is thicker oil?

Do you have to open and remove all that to charge the oil ? I have a keeway matrix. Changing the oil is very easy. Nothing to remove to drain the oil and fill it up again. Have a great day mitch.

Q1. Which Gear oil you used in Transmission of your scooter? Q2. Can I use Shell SPIRAX 80W-90 API GL-4 Gear Oil GEAR OIL in Transmission of TVS Jupiter or Honda Activa 4G 110cc gearless scooters? Will it reduce the performance, pickup & milage and increase the wear & tear of transmission gears of scooter? TVS company manual recommended to use same engine oil (10w30 JASO MA2) as the gear oil in transmission also.

Change oil light

Nice video, but I just vacuume the old oil out of the fill bolt, usually by a siphon. I don't get quite all the oil out, but I don't have to remove any body work or covers.
