so many videos of this same exact issue on these vehicles. There are cracked solder joints on the Cluster circuit board where the connector plugs in. Take the Cluster out and you will see the cracks, just needs a little solder on the pins. Its funny they all do the same thing, PGM FI relay clicks away,

My 2003 does the same thing. Lift up on the wiper blade lever (as if you were trying to clean your windshield) then turn the key and crank the car. Then release the lever. Starts every time.

That is very strange indeed. But if it works then I would say that is a great car thief deterrent. Thanks!

Looks like you got the problem identified. Maybe stick a match book in there to keep the wobble out. I'd maybe try duct tape to keep er steady... Lol... Thanks Steve.!!... thumbs up.!!

it sure is complicated the way they put so many wires in a connector,, it seems like cares are more plastic than metal these days.l

That's for sure. Its the big harness that is pulling down on the connection soldered to the circuit board. I got a plan to jury rig a temporary fix. More Soon!

John, I have not tore into it, but I am almost sure that there is one bad wire connection or a solder connection inside the cluster.

I would need to replace the cluster. I have one but it is not one that has my accessories. So no. Not yet.
