HONDA D16Z6 GETS K20 HEADSTUDS???.. YUP THEY FIT!!... BLOCK WARPED :(

More progress on trying to sort the head lift on the civic.
This time i decided to see if K20 headstuds fit with the timesert M11x1.5 fittings.... well turns out they do. you need to cut 18mm off the k20 headstud though. Torqued to K20 headstud specs... Why you may ask. K20 studs are proven to hold around 700bhp. And they were free lying in my garage. Worth a try. Want to know a secret? They worked!!!

Cheers bro. Im behind in making the videos, car up an running great, not lifting the head and happy boosting 1.2 bar 16 deg 11.5 afr no head lift. Next video ill show the data of the head working a treat with these bolts in. just finding the time :) Thanks again man. back to rx7 stuff again soon :)

Might be worth a Compression Test, just to see if it's worth Buttoning up or a K20 instead😅

Haha nahhhh conpression tests just give bad news. Haha. Kseries in the RX7 is my main car. This just a bit of cheap fun.

Could you not deck the block? Or does the liner sit lower than the face? I know it will probably up the compression a little but you could always sort that with a thicker head gasket

yout 100% right. Although going by how smokey it is its also got oval bores. shes an old tired hoor of a thing lol
