A weak point of the CT 110 trail is the front suspension. This video shows a simple method to beef up the front fork on a late model Postie.
Жүктеу.....

Apologies for the poor audio, I hope it doesn't detract from the message.

Pick my new postie up in a week or so from road worthy. I'm 115kg so I'll def be doing this upgrade. Thanks for the video bud.

Thanks, I saw my friend at church yesterday. She's sold her Spyder because the potholed local roads were too bad.

I may be doing something like this with a Honda clone I’m saving for. It’s like a clone of the old Super 90. I’m hoping to swap a more powerful 190 or 212cc pit bike engine in and considering that it would be able to go like 80 after swapping to a ~20hp engine, it’s probably a good idea to upgrade the suspension

Are the late model forks longer? I have an 86 and want to "beef up" front suspension. Swap for newer forks and use older springs?

I think they are the same. Have a look at my adv mods video you'll see my 1985 bike & I've fitted internal spring forks & additional external springs. Makes a big difference.

Do you think that could work on my 72 ct90? The double spring thing .Will a 110 front fork tubes fit a 72 ct 90?

Off the top of my head I think the fork tubes are 26.90mm dia. Did '72 have telescopic forks? I think they did. ct110's after the '90's in Oz had the internal spring fork (which is what you'd need) other countries I'm not sure. For a later model ct in Oz it's simply a matter of fitting external springs. If you have to go to the expense of buying a pair of fork & then putting extra springs on, it may not be cost effective. Hope this helps.

Looking at '72 bike yes I believe it will work, I did the same to my 1985 ct110, swapped the forks & added external springs. I like it because it uses Honda parts & looks stock.

Fortunately I had the parts needed in my shed.... Lambda sell new springs for $41 each. Wreckers may also be able to supply them & you'll need the locating washer to fit on the bottom of each spring plus a pair of early fork boots.
