Honda CRF300L Rally Exhaust Upgrade

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Honda CRF300L Rally Exhaust Upgrade with full Yoshimura Pipe. The Honda CRF300L Rally is down on power and one of the best mods you can do is add an aftermarket exhaust. Yoshimura makes a great product and so is a great choice for the 300 Rally. In this install video I will show you how to upgrade the exhaust on your Honda CRF300L Rally with full Yosh Exhaust System. I will also show you just what you are getting if you choose to buy a knockoff Yosh pipe from oversea's at half the price.
This is a mod that is well worth your time and money because I found that it had a noticable impact on the power output and top speed on this little CRF300L Rally adventure bike. This Mod combined with the airbox mod and an EFI/ECM mod is a must do mod for your CRF300L Rally.

Hi, Thanks for the video! I have a Yoshimura already installed and wanted to add the Outback Motortek crash bars like you have but I am concerned that the header pipe and the bar bracket on the pipe side interfere with one another (brace gusset on the Motortek bracket). Accountant_Mechanic did a video of another aftermarket pipe and he had to grind off the gusset which isn't good but was necessary for bar fitment. I called Outback and in the case of the Yoshi, they could not tell me specifically only saying that grinding off the gusset would void the warranty and generalizing all aftermarket pipes as having the difficulty. It was clear they had not tried with the Yoshi. Did you have the interference issue?

The crash bars were already installed on the bike when I got it, and nothing looks modified and I made no modifications to the crash bars while installing the Yosh pipe … I’d be interested if anyone else has run into any issues ?!?

Resist the temptation to re-use an already crushed exhaust gasket. Shame there wasn't one in the Yoshi kit?

Can’t argue with that …was not included …although not mission critical I will be swapping it it out at my next opportunity.

Any issue with your panniers getting baked by exhaust? I have soft packs and worry about melting them...

I actually run soft bags, on this bike… tusk pilot, soft bags, and have had no issues with heat. But I’m also running full luggage racks which give me some distance between the pipe and the luggage hope that helps… Thanks!

I would like to retain my stock heat shield., I’m sure the necessary modifications are possible.

Looking at the stock pipe it looks like that might be tricky. Although with my side racks the pipe is not close to my luggage… But if needed I would opt for an aftermarket heat shield, for a much quicker install …interested to know how it works out for you. Good luck!

If you change exhaust to full exhaust. Do i need to remap mag stock ecu?

Great question, it’s always wise to adjust the fueling whenever you open up the exhaust and or air box both of which have the potential to lean out your fuel mixture, which is not good for longevity. This is why in the next two videos I will add an EJK piggyback EFI controller to the ECU and then I will replace the ECU …the third option of course would have been to remap the ECU.

Yoshimura states you don't need to. The RS4 does not require it.

Sounds much better than stock! ...and of course louder...but, I never ride without ear plugs so it sounds good to me.

Why would you provide a (dead) link for an obviously counterfeit Yoshimura pipe??? Cheap Chinese counterfeit shit like this makes my blood boil. Not OK
